Okay, so I only have a few chapters of this book written. So don't expect an update for a while. This is just for all of you that have been super patient.

Chapter One-

Darkness was all I saw.

Screams were all I heard.

Pain was all I felt.

Blood was all I smelt and all I could taste.

A spotlight shown on a single girl. She was broken and bruised. Her long, brown hair hid her face and covered parts of her skinny, naked body.

She had no one to help her.

The only person with her was a pale man. His eyes were blood red, his hair pitch black, and his face grinning an ugly grin at the torture of the girl. He stood there abusing her, while she screamed my name repeatedly.

"Aaron!"

I felt a sharp pain on my jaw and woke up.

I looked into my darkened room. The only light coming from my wide bedroom window, in which the full moon was shining through.

"Finally! I thought I was going to have to get cold water." My best friend, Elizabeth Markey, said dramatically.

So it was just her saying my name and it went into my dream.

"So you thought slapping me was better?" I questioned.

She cocked her head to the side and looked up in the air to appear as if she was thinking about it.

"Yes, yes I did." she said after a few moments.

I groaned and she smirked.

"So, why exactly did you decide to wake me up at one in the morning?" I asked.

She knows I'm not a morning person, and yet she still wakes me up early.

"You promised me a run. C'mon, I just shifted. Please, Aaron." she pleaded with puppy dog eyes.

Oh the irony.

I pretended to think about it to tease her. She whimpered and looked at me with her sad blue eyes. That's when I gave in. "Fine, but only because I love you, Lizzy." It was true. Lizzy was like a sister to me. Even though I already had a sister, but she was annoying as hell.

"Yes!" she jumped in excitement. Her squeals sounded throughout my room and probably woke up a few people.

"Dude, the whole pack house is asleep. Do you really want to wake them up?" I asked.

She blushed fifty shades of red then left my room.

I got up and slipped on some shorts.

"Let's go, Lizzy." I said as I exited my room. I grabbed her hand and silently tugged her down two flights of stairs.

We were about to go out the back door, when I heard a feminine voice say, "Where do you think you're going?"

Dammit!

"Hey, mom." I said, while turning and smiling guiltily.

"Aaron Jacob Retrac, where do you think you're going?" she said, trying to be stern. Her youthful face cracking a smile. She liked Lizzy and was glad I had a friend that wasn't an obnoxious boy.

"Umm... Lizzy and I were going to go running."

"You are so lucky I found you and not your father. Have fun and good luck, Lizzy." my mom said.
