Matt walked in carrying me with Zach following closely behind. I glanced around slowly at the living room and decided to not be here. The couches were big and comfortable looking; I don't want to fall back asleep. Zach led the way into the kitchen and pulled food out of the freezer just to set it on the counter. I looked hard at it until Zach paid attention to it and pulled out a sheet for them to be put on and shoved them into the oven. Matt set me on the counter as I glared at Zach for not setting the temp on the oven, so I leaned over and pressed the buttons myself.
"Hungry? Or just being....female?" Zach asked with a smile on his face.
"Insult? Or just being....yourself?" I retorted; he lost his smile and replaced it with a look of guilt.
"Ok, no bitch talk. At least not while I'm here or when Abbey's like this, got it?" Matt said, trying to be referee.
"ZACH!!!!!! Where's my food? And my juice? And my movies; did you set them by the TV?" a little girl - Zach's little sister, I assumed - stormed in with a Bratz blankie dragging behind her.
"Marissa, this is not the best time to-"
"Who's the pretty chick? And why is another guy with her and not you? And where'd she get that ring? Why is she dressed like that? You said you went to the store, but where's my food? What took you so long? Wh-" she rapidly fired at him.
"Zach is my friend, I'm getting married to this guy, I just woke up from...never mind that, he did go to the store, but didn't get anything, because he came to pick me up for..certain reasons, I guess I could say" I said calmly, which was surprising.
"Woah" was all she said.
"I have to go help her with the movies, so could you pour her some apple juice into that sippie over there? I hope I'll be back in a few, if I survive her room" he said pointing and waving but with a smile on his face.
I hopped off of the counter, got into the fridge and got the juice. I poured some in her cup and looked for a cup for myself. I finally found one in the weirdest spot, but it was clean, so I used it as the Totino's pizza rolls baked. I went and leaned up against Matt for support - both physically and mentally. He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in closer. I was glad for the warmth of his body pressed against mine and for the fact that Zach was trying to help me.
Zach walked back in the room with stuffed animals in his hands and was out of breath "Why...did I...even bring...you here?"
"Because you wanted to help me" I said simply.
He rolled his eyes and made a 'follow me' motion with his hands. I reluctantly pulled myself away from Matt and followed Zach to a room with a wooden sign labelled 'The Dungeon' and made a 'go in' motion.
"What do you have planned for me in a dungeon?" I ask tiredly.
"Your therapy. Its dark, has surround sound, and is really graphic" he said excitedly.
"What is it?" I'm sure I sounded like a mother who was tired of her kids' crap.
"Umm...COD?" he said cautiously; I'm sure my look said everything because he grimaced when I did.
"What's your sister watching?" Matt spoke up from his quiet position behind me.
"Disney movies...why?" Zach acted as if Disney was stupid.
"Because, I choose your sister. Disney is better than what I'm trying to avoid. Dark, loud, bloody, and just death in general" I stated strongly even though I could feel my chin quivering.
I turned around, grabbed Matt's hand, and pulled him with me into Marissa's room. He didn't say anything, but I knew he wanted to play COD with Zach. Marissa looked up from her pile of movies and smiled at me before dipping her head back down. I went over to help her pick out a movie and we ended up with Tangled.
"Do I have to stay, or-"
"Just for this one, then you can go beat Zach at COD" I said quietly.
He just shrugged and then Zach walked in with a little smile on his face "You wanna go in a watch movies on the big screen?" he asked Marissa.
Her eyes opened really wide before she nodded so fast I couldn't keep up with her little red head. She grabbed as many movies she could and ran into the living room. I picked up the rest and dragged Matt into the now darkened living room. I looked at Zach as I set the movies down next to the rest of them as he got comfortable with Marissa in his lap.
"What are you trying to do to me? Make me tired? Or make me-"
"Giving you time to be..you. No stress, no peer pressure, nothing. Besides, Marissa here has been trying to get me to watch princess movies with her for a while"
I just shrugged my shoulders and looked at the other couch that Matt completely took over. I just rolled my eyes and went into the kitchen to turn the lights off and grab popcorn. I came back right as Mother Gothel stole Rapunzel. I handed Zach and Marissa a big bowl, and then sat at the end of the couch Matt's on and looked at him innocently. He rolled his eyes and sat up so I could sit against him.
"You gunna share?" he whispered.
"Why, want me to?" I whispered back.
He just laughed and grabbed my sides making me almost choke on the piece of popcorn in my mouth. He started laughing but let go and sat back, grabbing the bowl from me. I leaned against him again, but acted like I was mad at him, making him guilty. He set the bowl on the coffee table and laid back, pulling me with him. I adjusted my position to where I could see the screen, but still get up if I needed to.
"You're not going anywhere" Matt said as he put me in a compromising position; next to the back of the couch, but on top of him.
I sighed but kissed his neck anyways. I had a plan for him for when Marissa left the room that I'm sure he would find torturous but enjoyable. The movie is already at the time where Rapunzel is asking the witch if she can see the floating lights, and Marissa is clutching her blankie as she silently quotes Gothel. I look at her in amazement as she correctly sings along, even though she's off-key.
During the whole time we watched the movie, Zach sat slightly interested, Matt lay quietly, Marissa sang everything, and I ate popcorn. When the credits started, she got up, and threw another movie in Zach's face before running to the bathroom. I look at Matt who just fell asleep under me, and decided to 'attack' him.
"What are you going to do?" Zach asked quietly, knowing Matt was asleep.
I put a finger to my lips is a 'quiet' motion, and looked at his neck where I was going to bite him. I bit him in the place he normally gets kissed, and he sat up quickly, which threw me off balance. I fell backwards, and he put himself on top of me to where I couldn't move. It was his turn to bite my neck, but he was putting more pressure than I had, but after thirty seconds, he lightly kissed the spot he bit me. He sat up a little, but Zach pushed his head down so we were kissing. I could tell he wasn't ready for that little surprise, but he quickly recovered.
He came up for breath as Marissa came back in. She just stood gaping at us on the couch and then started giggling. Zach looked at what she was and started laughing as well. Matt moved my hair to the side, and got back in his laying position, looking satisfied. I sat up slowly, and just looked at Zach with a look that stopped his laughing, but Marissa kept on going.
"What's that? Zach, what'd the other boy do to her neck?" she said between giggles.
"Something you better not get for a while" he said trying not to laugh again.
I looked at Matt with a tired stare, before laying down on him again. He just turned his head towards me, and kissed my nose. I looked him in the eyes, and gave him a long, hard kiss. Zach pressed play, and sat down and pulled Marissa with him.
"I'm going to get you back, you know" I said lightly; he just smiled.
I watched as Pocahontas started up. I looked at Matt again, feeling tired, and kissed his neck. And then I did what I shouldn't have done.
I dared to close my eyes, and fall asleep.
