Seven years later.
I look down at the white dress and twirl, studying the way it moves. "How do I look?" I ask.
"You look stunning." Conner says. He walks towards the center of the room wearing a black suit. A small pink flower sticks out of the pocket and seems to also be smiling at me.
"You think?" I ask.
"Yeah. I do. You about ready?" I nod but Stacy rushes over to me.
"Not yet." She announces to us both. She places the veil over my face clipping it into my hair. "I found this in the basement of our house. Brent found it this morning. We're still going through all those boxes of storage we found." She steps back to admire her work. "Brian did a great job on your makeup. Alright, go look in the mirror." I walk over to the mirror that I had wiped dust off of seven years ago. My purple eyes still stand out under my eyelashes and the vail is surprisingly white. It had taken forever to find a dress that was white and not yellow after all those years sitting in storage. I feel my eyes start to get warm. But I hold back the tears.
"What do you think?" Conner asks me.
"I think you were right. I do look stunning." I twirl again looking in the mirror. I walk over to him, and he hands me the bouquet of pink flowers that used to grow out on the balcony.
"You ready now?" He asks me but looks at Stacy.
"Yes. She's ready now. Give me a minute to get downstairs before you bring her." Stacy rushes out the door after giving me a hug. Conner places his hands on my shoulder and looks me in the eye.
"I'm so happy for you, Chris. I wish your dad could be here, but I guess I'll have to do." He holds his arm out to me and I take a deep breath. I take his arm and he walks me to the door. I hear the music playing as soon as it opens. Step by step, he leads me down to the main room of the mansion. I look out at the sea of Violets and Violet sympathizers, we had rescued from the wall and from the new rich city, which had been completed a year ago. Fern's wild curly hair waits at the bottom of the steps and the crowd rises. Se walks down ahead of Conner and I, dropping pink petals on the ground. I look up and see Josh.
He stands with his hands folded in front of him, wearing a black suit. His pink flower falls out as I walk down the isle, but he doesn't seem to notice. He looks very different from the first day I met him. Red hoodie. Rolled up jeans. Muddy boots. I bite my bottom lip and see him do the same. At the end of the isle, Conner hands me over to him and we turn to face each other. Everything the pastor of our church says is a complete blur to me. Josh's dimples are on display and I feel lost in his purple eyes. "I love you." He mouths to me.
"I love you." I mouth back. He squeezes my hand and rubs his thumb on my little black eye and numbers.
"You may kiss the bride." Is barely out of the pastors mouth when he pulls me towards him. I hear the congregation clapping but I ignore them. When he pulls away he takes my hand and raises it high up into the air. We turn to the congregation who is still clapping and Josh leads me down the isle and out the back door where we were instructed to go after the wedding, before the lunch took place.
"I love you." I tell him as we sit down on a bench.
"I think I love you too, Christopher."
The End
There it is!! You have no idea how happy and sad I am. I'm happy that I actually finished it, but I'm going to miss Josh and Chris so much. Is it weird to say that I have a crush on Josh? I created him and now I have a crush on him. It was the same with Kenzo too. I need to stop writing boys and falling in love with them. Nah. It's to much fun. I hope to do it for a long time.
Thank you so much for reading! You have no idea how happy it make me when I refresh the page, and the reads have gone up. Especially after publishing a chapter. I love each and every one of you!
Even though this is the end, hopefully its not the last book that I'll write. Hopefully there will be many more. I'm hoping to get this published on paper! It would be so awesome to have a copy of my own book. I've been trying to get Anirudha published for a while, but it's not going anywhere. Maybe if this one gets published so will that one. *Fingers crossed.*
If anything in the book was unclear, please let me know. I want this to be really good and your opinion means a lot to me. Tell me what needs fixed and I'll do my best to fix it.
Again, you all mean so much to me! I'm going to go back and replace chapters with the edited ones as I finish editing them. I really need someone to help me edit. *cough cough* Ioreth *cough cough* Heather, I want you to come back to PNG so bad.
Anyway, I'll sum this up. I love you all!!! Bye!!! I'll let you all know if I get a publisher!! And if you are a publisher Um, Hey.
