Part Two:
Charlie heard the crashing waves of the sea and rustling as leaves from nearby trees trembled in the wind. An ocean scent filled Charlie's nostrils and for one desperate moment he thought of Zoe. She had a distinctive sea-spray smell, and Charlie suddenly felt homesick.
He opened his eyes and stared up at the setting sky, which was a pale blue colour and had no clouds. The sun was nearing the horizon, yet the wind was a warm breeze. As Charlie sat upright, he felt soft grains of sand underneath his fingertips. He glanced around.
To his left was open ocean. In front of him stretched a beach, and further inland was what looked like an overgrown garden. Charlie stumbled to his feet and moved towards the centre of the island.
A massive courtyard lay before him, full of different kinds of plants letting off interesting smells, and trees lining the outside like a guard of honour. Paths wound deep into the trees and went many different ways towards opposite sides of the island while a large marble fountain spewed water in the centre of the paved courtyard.
Charlie moved down one path and found a table being set by what seemed to be invisible servants. The table itself overlooked a small cliff in front of the sea and the setting sun, which made Charlie feel even more homesick.
Suddenly, something pushed Charlie towards the table. Charlie looked behind him, but there was no one there. He figured that it must've been an invisible servant, as a platter of food floated towards the table and laid itself down in the centre.
Charlie pulled out a chair and sat down. The knives, forks, and spoons were made of what looked like pure silver, and the napkins the finest of silk. Charlie dug into a dinner of beautifully cooked pork chops and salad. He had no idea where they got the food from, as there seemed to be no animals on the island, but it was good.
One meal later, Charlie was full. He got up, and an invisible servant took him by the arm and lead him towards a cave. He lay down on the bed and stared at a sparkling crystal ceiling.
Where were the others? He thought to himself quietly. Before he'd been cursed, Charlie had glimpsed an island like this in his mind. Ogygia. And he had managed to warn Zoe before being whisked away.
Zoe... His heart was aching. He desperately wished to speak to her, but had no idea how he could do it. And the story about Calypso was that she would fall in love with each visitor that came onto the island, but now since Charlie had taken her place, did that mean that if someone arrived he would fall in love with them?
He didn't know. And he wasn't prepared to find out.

Alex shouldered her backpack and trudged deep into the countryside. She had been walking for around three hours, and she wasn't exactly enjoying it.
When she was transported from Tartarus to here, her clothes had cleaned themselves and a backpack full of supplies had appeared on her back.
But the thing was, Alex had absolutely no idea were she was. She could be in a totally different country from where she had been just a few weeks before she had entered Tartarus. There was a road sign up ahead. Alex made her way towards it and gasped. The sign was in a completely different language!
And yet, Alex could read it as clearly as if it were in English. For a moment the odd symbols came back. Suddenly, she understood.
She was in a totally different country. Greece.
Why do you guys think Alex is in Greece?
