Sonic X Reader *ON HOLD UNDER EDITING PROCESS SORRY*

Chapter 2

You and Sonic ran for a few minutes. Your (h/c) hair blew in your face making it almost impossible to see. You could barely keep up with Sonic as you two ran faster than humanly possible, deeper and deeper into the forest until you two finally came to a stop. You almost fell over as Sonic skid to a stop in front of a building. The cocky blue hedgehog caught you from falling and laughed. "You okay?"

"I-I think so... "you stutter as all of your (h/length) (h/c) hair fell into your face. Suddenly, you feel a hand come underneath your chin, and gently raise your head where you can see Sonic smiling faintly between your hair. Then, your vision clears as the blue blur pushes your hair out of your face and behind your ear. Blushing wildly, you look down insecure and mutter a "thanks."

"Don't mention it!" he replied, smiling a toothy and kind smile. "Wanna go in?" Sonic continued, gesturing to the structure in front of them. You only nod and follow him in.

Inside, a small and yellow two-tailed fox stood at a workbench. "Yo, Tails!" Sonic yelled to him, waving. The little fox, who you assumed was Tails, waved back. "Hey, Sonic! What took you?"

"I fell asleep..." Sonic said awkwardly, rubbing his neck and looking everywhere, but Tails. "And who's that?" Tails asked, ignoring Sonic's excuse and pointing at you with a wrench.

"Oh! Thats (y/n)!" The entire time, you stood awkwardly at the both of them, and snapped out of it when you snapped out of it at the sound of your name. "Oh, hi!" you say, waving slightly.

"Hello," Tails smiled and waved before going back to his work. "You hungry?" You turn to Sonic and nod, gladly taking his offer. You didn't realize how hungry you were until now. Sonic led you into another room that looked like the kitchen.

Sonic took down a basket from atop the refrigerator and asked, "How do you like your chilidogs?"

"What?"you ask, raising an eyebrow.

"How. Do. You. Like. Your. Chili. Dogs?" Sonic said, slowly.

"Umm..." you say, unsure of your response.

"Never mind, I'll just make you normal," Sonic said, and started making the chilidogs. About a half-hour later, you two are at the table. "So... "you start. "How did you guys survive the crash?" you ask. It had been the question you'd been asking the past five years.

"Oh. Umm..." Sonic replied, taking a bite out of his chilidog. "Well, you see..." he swallows, "Tails had a protection system, and when we saw we were gonna crash, he dragged me into a small room which was built for that kind of situation. In turn, the room was enough to save us and leave us unharmed." You nodded. It made sense and you totally and honestly could believe it. You take a big bite out of your chilidog, which was unbelievably good. "Wow..." you say, in astonishment as you swallow and take another bite.

"You like it?" Sonic laughed. You only nod, mouth full.

After you both finish, you notice it's dark outside. Sighing in disappointment, you turn to Sonic. "I need to go..." you say, sadly.

"Aaw. Why?" he whines.

"School. But only two more days!" you say, reassuringly. This made Sonic beam. "Okay," he says. "If you say so!" As you're walking out the door, you feel yourself get lifted up off the ground and the world around you starts speeding past. Looking up, you see the swift blue hedgehog, but he doesn't look at you as he focuses on the trail. You blush, and there instantly a spark ignites and somewhere inside your heart, a space opens for this mysterious hedgehog.
