part 15-ENGAGEMENT

Everyone was so happy with waqas and Fakhriya for choosing each other as their life-partners.They looked like a picture-perfect couple,just the kind of couples you would imagine to have dropped out from a fairy-tale

The engagement dates were fixed and decided as well.The engagement would be held tomorrow at our place and sangeet ceremony will follow up after two days

There was a lot of work to do and very little time to waste.Everyone started sharing out responsiblities so that all the work could be done faster.Saajida and Sain took up the responsibility of finding the perfect destination for the wedding.

Shehry and Atif took for the music and decoration.Maha took up dancing responsibility..yup...she was going to dance in the wedding.

I went to our room to find Shehry relaxed on the bed.I had come to take my purse because i had to go shopping with Fakhriya and select the engagement rings since we did not have to worry about the dresses because that responsibility had gone over to Nosh appi

When i was combing my hair,two arms snaked my waist and Shehry kept his chin on my left shoulder and kissed me on my neck

The kiss was slight but actually set butterflies tumbling in my stomach
"Shehry,please chodho na mujhe abhi ke liye"

Shehry looked at me and started smirking at me
"Main toh nahi chodhunga..filhal mood nahi hai chodhne ka aur waise bhi agar aapko yaad nahi ho then let me remind you,Mrs Shehryaar Asif,you owe a kiss."

I started blushing as Shehry puckered his lips and turned them into a pout demanding for a kiss.His eyes were closed,yet he pulled me so near to him that there was no place left for air to pass through

His single touch as he pulled me hard towards him set my body ablaze with imaginary flames.I was about to kiss him when...

"Khadeeja bhabhi,we have to leave to select the rings for the engagement."Saajida's voice came from the other end of the door

I looked at Shehry and started laughing at the expression that had formed on his face.I loosened Shehry's grip on my waist and hurriedly pinned my duppata on my shoulder,grabbed my purse and kissed Shehry on the cheek and left.

In the evening when Khadeeja,Fakhriya,Waqas and Saajida were back from selecting the engagement rings,i tried finding every oppurtunity to romance Khadeeja but to no avail

It either had to be Saajida or Sain always on their toes to interrupt us.

Fakhriya and Waqas did not bother with us because now they were going to share their entire lives with each other and so they got busy with each other

After Waqas and his family had left,i saw khadeeja trying to calm down a sobbing Fakhriya.
I walked over to them and inquired why she was actually sad.

"Kya huwa riya,tum itni udaas kyun ho???Waqas pasand nahi hai kya ya phir are you scared ki suhaag raat ko kya hoga tumhare saath?"I said with an evil smirk in my tone and looked at Khadeeja who frowned at me

"Nahi Shehry bhai,woh baat yeh hai ki bhai aur bhabhi aane wale the for the wedding with ammi kyunki abbu ko kaam se fursat nahi milti...par ab woh log bhi nahi aayenge because the doctor has refused bhabhi from going anywhere since her delivery date is near.Aaj meri family meri hi nikaah par mere saath shaamil nahi hogi."

I looked at Riya who was really crying excessively.I went and put my arm around her.

"Who told you that you dont have a family?We all are there for you.We will represent as the side of the bride.My ammi and abbu will give you away as a bride aur tumhara bara bhai hamesha tumhare saath hai."
