I sat in class, my chin leaned onto my hand, and bored myself to death while I doodled on my notepad and thought of Luke.
What he might be doing right now, where he could be and who was giving him company.
My hand harshly made a line through the heart it had drawn a second before, then it reached for a pencil. My thoughts continued circling around my best friend though. While my hand began to use to pencil, I pictured his eyes. The fresh, sprakling colour of blue, and how there were little crincles beside them, one on each side, whenever he smiled. I slightly giggled as my mind showed me Luke's lips. How often had I Stared at them when he had been busy with something else! How he bit the lower one when he was trying to do serious work, find new chords for a secong, read a complex text paragraph, fix his blonde messy hair... How he always squeezed them together a little when he tried to hide a laugh, having it end up in a big smile. How his flawlessly white teeth flashed any time he would crack up over something.
I chuckled thinking of the millions of fun times I'd already had with him, and felt a poke on my left arm. I snapped up to see if I was in trouble and relievedly turned to my bestie Lory when I realized I wasn't. "Hm, yeh?" I said and she put a finger onto my drawing, tapping the notepad. "Who's that?" She asked and I looked down onto the paper. A not too bad drawing of Luke had appeard on it, and just in that second my hand dropped the pencil it had drawn it with. "Luke." I said as I frowned, then quickly, I closed the pad and Lory grinned at me. "There is nothing bad about drawing my best friends; I have drawn you before, too." I tried pushing her off the topic, but it didn't really work. She giggled and pretended to be listening to the teacher. "I mean... to ME it's obvious you wanna be more than friends with him, but you still could've told me in the face or something." She whispered and my heart dropped. Up to this point, I'd not thought that anybody except Louis, my brother, knew about what I felt for Luke. "Excuse me?!" I replied and she gave me a quick look. "Don't worry. Obviously, I won't tell anybody." She said nd I leaned back. "Nevermind Lor, you don't understand." I whispered back, to which she didn't react anymore, and the bell rang for lunch time. I groaned and packed my stuff as I heard Lory asking what I was going to have for lunch, but I shook my head. "Nothing, neither have I time, nor hunger. " I lied and Loreen raised an eyebrow. "I have coursework to do and I am NOT HUNGRY!"
She just looked down, mumbled a few words to herself, then she left without me. I grabbed my bag and walked out of class, looked left and right on the 'Language Hallway' and tried to think of a good place to go now. The last classes, after the break, would be 'Litterature' and 'Text- and Book work', but since I still had over an hour of time left, I decided to get over myself and go to the music room. I hadn't been there for a while - I'd been too scared and attached to the last memories from it, but now I thought it was time and a good idea, actually.
Hoping I wouldn't come past anybody in a conspicious way, I looked down as I walked to the 'Music & Arts'-Wing of our school, but being the unlucky and clumsy creature I was, I bumped into a tall guy and dropped my iPhone onto the floor. "Aw fricking hell!" I swore to myself and sighed as I wanted to pick it up, but the lad was faster than me and already held it in his hands.
I looked up and froze as I recognized his face right away: Liam Payne - number one pianist and quaterback of this school and its footballteam, a.k.a the most popular person in town. "Well awesome..." I thought and gulped, bur Liam Payne smiled. "Sorry, didn't see you there." He excused and I raised my eyebrows; I hadn't expected that. I had been quite sure that I would get to hear that I was a blind loser, whoever I would've walked into, but apparently, Liam didn't think that way. Shocked from how wrongly I had judged this friendly young man, I started stuttering. "N-no that's alr-right, it wasn't your f-fault."
