Trident had just congratulated me on my skills when I heard my father drawing close to the clearing. I told Trident that we should go, but that was when my dad just HAD to show up. He started getting really mad at me and sent me and my siblings back to the cave. I could over hear him talking to Trident about why he was with his kids and blah blah blah, so on and so forth. About 30 minutes after we arrived at the cave dad walked in. He asked to see me out by the stream in 10 minutes. I walked outside to the stream and curled up on my favorite bench. Dad trotted down to the bench and transformed into his human form. "Hey Dad. What do you want to talk to me about?" I asked him."Tigress, honey you snuck out of the den with your sister and brother and wandered all the way down to Artemis's camp. I searched all day for you guys and when I find you, you are with some strange wolf in a clearing. I talked to this wolf and he said because he has nothing to do, that he would train you guys to be better warriors. I sparred with him a little and I decided that he can teach you important life skills. He is a werewolf as well and can also teach you how to fight with a sword and attack a human. Darling, I did this for you but you don't have to do this. It is up to you whether or not you want to become great like your mother or barely get through life. Its your decision." These words ran through my head. I started debating with myself. "I could be a protector of my family or I could become great like mom. Its my decision. If I was like mom, I run the risk of getting killed. If I protected my family, I could never go out into the world because of my responsibility.""Dad, I want to be like Mom and train with Trident. I think I will have a chance at being someone!" "Okay Tigress. Are you absolutely sure that this is what you want to do? Because if this is what you want to do this there is no backing out!" "Yes daddy, I am positively sure this is what I want to do."

Percy POV:

"I was congratulating Tigress on her technique and skills when she seemed to hear something that she didn't want to hear. She told me that she and her siblings should go home. Then some weird wolf jumped out from the bushes. He claimed that he was their father and wanted to know why the hell was I with his kids. He got very mad at Tigress and sent her home. And then....." "Wait, hold on a second," Luna said "Who is Tigress? She seems sorta young, doesn't she? How did you meet her?" "Well, I had been talking with Artemis about the curse. I then started walking into the woods..." "Wait. That's impossible. You should not have been able to leave the camp." "Why's that?" I asked. "I'm saying it's impossible because the curse requires you to stay close to the person who put the curse on you." "Obviously not!" I exclaimed. "Maybe it doesn't affect werewolves as much as full breeds." "Hmmm. That is an interesting hypothesis. It could be possible.... Did you ever feel compelled to return to camp once you went out into the woods?" "Yeah, slightly. It kicks in once I got maybe about two or three miles out." "Interesting." Luna muttered under her breath. Then she stood up and walked away. I saw her head into the forest. I stood up and went into the forest as well. "Luna!" I called out. "Mmhm?" " I was thinking that maybe we could see how far I can go before I start begging to go back." "Yeah! That is an excellent idea Trident! Come on, let's go!!!!!" "Jeez, calm down." I said while laughing at her antics. We headed off into the forest.

------------------------------- 6 hours later -------------------------------

After 6 hours of running around in the forest we concluded that in human form I could get 6.5 miles out. While if I was in wolf form I could only go out 5.5 miles out. We also found out that if I went past six miles I couldn't shift into my wolf form. Luna recorded all of this in a notebook. Probably her diary. Then we would go back to camp and repeat the process. Eventually I was able to go another mile after three more hours of trying. Luna concluded that I could eventually break the curse if I could keep fighting my urge to return to Artemis. She then told me that every day for an hour and a half I had to try to go further. So I agreed because I did not want to have to be with Artemis any longer than I had to.
