Luna, Gracelynn, and I finished gathering our supplies in Norfolk. We stocked up on food, me eating most of it. I had to gorge myself so that I could make it over the Atlantic without sinking because I hadn't eaten enough food to power through. We rested in a cheap, run-down motel, because it was very cheap and we could bust outta there very fast. We were only about a mile away from the coastline, so if the Hunters show up, we could run for the hills. Ocean. Europe. Whatever. Actually, now that I think about it, being over water would be a good thing because, after all, I AM a son of Poseidon. We woke up to the sound of the hunters horn. We ran into the waves and ran faster until we were on top of the water. About halfway to Italy, I started to sink. When I realized it was the curse of Artemis, I grew angry. I was still a child of Poseidon, even though I had been changed into a werewolf. I drew strength from the sea until I felt a snap somewhere inside of me. I howled in delight as I ran to catch up with my family. The sea does not like to be restrained. Take that Artemis. Next stop? Italy. 2 hours later we collapsed on the beach of Reggio di Calabria. We tore into our packs and scarfed down most of the food that was inside. Dang. Food has never tasted so gosh darn good. Y'all wouldn't know because you have never sprinted across the Atlantic ocean. And if you have, well, you are obviously not human. We stood up, stretched, then started at an easy trot. If 70 miles per hour is considered an "easy trot". 3 hours into our trip I smelled something I hadn't smelled in a long time, Demigod. Crap, this is NOT good. Hopefully they are just passing through, but to be on the safe side, I call out to Luna, "Hey! Demigod on your right! Take Gracelynn and find a cave! Go!" She looks back at me, nods her consent, and runs off with Gracelynn. I follow after I check the area to make sure they are not close by. We might have to wait for a while and let the Demigods pass us by. After all, all we have to do now is get to Rome and set up camp. A camp for those of us who have lost faith in the Gods. A camp for werewolves and Demigods alike to destroy the Gods and become our own people. Wait. How am I gonna destroy the Gods? They're, like, immortal and stuff. Hmm. Maybe I can create something that captures their magic. Like a net or a... I am snapped out of my thoughts when I run strait into a wall of rock. Ow! Fudge, that HURT!!!! I collapse on the ground and start breathing really hard so that I would not be tempted to scream out in pain. I don't know what you do in your life, but running into rock walls at 70mph can really hurt your head. Or your whole entire freaking body! Okay Trident, breathe in, breathe out. In, out, in, out, in, out, in, and scream. Hoo, that feels so much better now, but then again, I did scream. But I do need to find Luna and Gracelynn, and fast. Cause I have no idea where in Italy they are. Well, actually I know they are pretty close by. But you catch my drift. "Luna!" I scream into the forest, praying for an answer. "Trident!" I hear her voice echoing from the dark. "Luna! Here! I'm over here!" I scream, every word reverberating through my pounding head. My vision starts to fade away, but I keep calling out for my beloved Luna. As I slip into nothingness, I see her leap out of the forest, a streak of silver flashing through the sky. A comet of pure grace. I call out one last time, weakly. "Luna..."
