The Promise

Remember me this way

I felt a cool breeze and there were cherry blossoms trees surrounding me and beautiful white lights everywhere. When i walked down more there was a fountain at the end of the walkway it took my breath away the way it glistened like the stars in the sky. In the corner of my eye I saw a little girl running down the path way and before i knew it i was running after her.

"Hey, where are you going?"

"Please remember, i don't have much time left .. Hurry and remember before its too late"

"Wait..what are you..."

The little girl disappeared into the fountain.

I went to the fountain and looked in the water and i gasped.

I woke up and I felt a warm gentle touch on my cheek and i felt so secure. I touched his hand and then I sighed.

"Are you awake?"

I slowly opened my eyes and met with a pair of Ashford eyes and I felt my heart skip a beat as he looked at me.

Your still adorable when you blush like that"

"Huh?"

I pushed him away from me and heard him chuckle. 

"Huh how did I... Oh yeah that's right...i passed out in the garden after i danced with the Prince.

He looked at me confused and then i saw a deep sadness in his eyes.

"You don't remember?"

I looked at him confused and then i remembered my dream and the girl i saw.

"Who is that girl?" I thought.

He went over to me and touched my cheek i felt my heart race but then i also felt pain when i was trying to remember what happened.

"Hey don't force it you'll remember me eventually... i hope".

"Why do you say that, did we know each other in the past? Is that why you always look sad and hurt when you look at me?"

"Memi.."

When he looked at me, my heart raced really fast and when I saw the hurt and pain in his eyes I felt a pain in my heart.

"Please Kazuma, tell me.. We know each other right.. You know about my past. You must know because there is no way you would of known about my heart condition if I never told you. "

He still said nothing. So I kept asking him question after question.

"I remember passing out in the garden after Haru told me something.. How did I end up in the King's room? "

Still he said nothing. I was getting frustrated.

"Why won't you answer me?! Can't you at least tell me something? Why were you in The Victorian Mansion I stayed at on my break? "

He looked at me surprised. That question caught him off guard.

"So.. You remember then? "

".. Well yeah it took me awhile but I remember you there in the beautiful  exotic jungle and green house. You went for a swim and when you came up we talked.. Though I don't remember the conversation. "

"Do you remember any of the conversation we had there?" He asked me with hope in his eyes.

I tried to think but it hurt my head. His eyes that were filled with hope started to sadden.

"Never mind don't worry about it".

As he began walking away. A memory came into my head. It was me and a young guy dancing in the park I dreamed before. There were lights and cherry blossoms trees and a beautiful fountain and the stars shinned so bright. The lights I saw were candles. Looking at my face and the guy face we looked so happy and so in love as we danced to one of the songs.. But I couldn't see his face clearly. The song that was playing was so beautiful..That as the memory faded away I began humming the song.

🔥Kazuma's POV🔥

When she woke up I was the happiest man ever seeing her beautiful eyes looking at me... But that happiness faded when I could see she didn't even remember me. She wanted me to tell her the truth but I know that if I did it would cause her more pain when she would try and remember.

"Damn it!!  Why!!  I even went back to the past to see if she would remember but it didn't work ".

I was giving up. This was to painful for me. Then she said something that brought me hope. Our conversation at the Greenhouse in my Victorian Mansion. But soon that hope died when I saw the pain of her trying to remember.

"Never mind don't worry about it".

I was walking away remembering what happened the day before.

*the ball*

As the song was playing I held her close I didn't want to let her go. So when the song ended I bowed and was gonna hold her again.

"Your majesty, aren't you being to friendly with another man's wife? "

Before I could say anything he took her away from me... Again. I watched them leave and felt the pain from when she disappeared before.

"No.. Not again I'll just go and talk to her. She won't disappear from me again even if she doesn't remember me. "

When I got there I saw that he did something to her. He picked up her unconscious body and went to the car. I followed them. My cell phone rang and Alena was calling me.

K: What is it Lena? I'm kind of busy"

A: I can see that. So let me distract him for you.

I sighed. I couldn't believe when Alena showed me her true self that day she said "you still don't recognize me? ". Alena or should I say Alina changed her appearance because she was hurt when Memi didn't recognize her. 

A: "Hello Kazuma you there? "

K: Huh? Oh yeah sure you can help. And thanks Alina I mean Alena.

She laughed but said no problem and hanged up. As I hid I watched as Alena, Ryo and Kei distracted Haru while I quietly snuck in his car,  grabbed Memi and ran out of there. As I was thinking I heard someone humming a song that I knew all to well.

"Its one of our songs" I thought.

I thought the song was in the hallway but when I was about to leave I heard the humming more clearly and realized as I turned around that she was the one humming the song.

She dancing to the song she was humming to and I could feel my heart skip a beat as I watched her dance. I remembered that beautiful night. I went to my computer and played the song she was humming. She stopped dancing and looked at me with surprise written all over her face. I smiled and bowed.

"May I have this Dance". I smiled at her.

At first she looked hesitant but then she smiled and took my hand in hers and we began dancing to the music. Forgetting about the world.
