Some Tension On The Island

Chapter 1

The shootings of blind audition of season 5 of the Voice was recently finished where the old cast was back.

During the shootings Blake and Adam continued talking about how amazing Shakira and Usher were. Of course they have never mentioned that they were better than Cee Lo and Christina but it was obvious that they loved Shakira and Usher a lot.

And in some time they both got an idea of bringing everyone together, the old and the new coaches, and went somewhere together. They also invited Carson and Christina Milian. But Christina said that she was busy so it was just seven of them.

So in July, when they had a break from the voice for more than a month they decided on going to the Caribbean Sea. They chose to stay in a hotel on one of the private islands. They booked the whole hotel that it was just seven of them on the island and the personnel. They would love to have a calm vacation and not to be disturbed by fans and not to hide as obviously there were a lot of things going on between them that the public shouldn’t have known.

They ordered a private jet. As they were on it everyone tried to get to know each other closer. Well mostly Christina, Cee Lo, Usher and Shakira as everyone else were already close enough. They had some talks, games, they had a lot of fun, as always, during the flight.

After a couple of hours they landed as they went to the sea where they took a yacht. But they didn’t head straight to the hotel as they decided to swim a little along the sea.

The yacht was big enough as all of them went to different sides of it, everyone found their own companies. Blake hung out with Cee Lo and Adam, Christina got into the talk with Usher and Shakira found herself spending time with Carson.

In a minute Adam got bored with his company as he headed to the back of the yacht. He leaned against the railing watching deep into the sea. He seemed thoughtless and a little bit sad.

“Is everything ok?” Shakira came near him. She noticed the way he was getting away from Cee Lo and  Blake as her eyes unwillingly followed him and she couldn’t stay away.

“Yes, of course” Adam smiled. “The trip seems to be great”

“But you look kind of sad” she asked caringly.

“I’m fine” he smiled “I’m just enjoying the view. The sea is so calming”

“It is” Shakira stood next to him so close that their arms touched and enjoyed the beautiful view with him.

Getting alone Carson joined Blake and Cee Lo.  And as far as everyone where in their own talks Christina couldn’t help herself as to glance on the couple that stood together sweetly talking about something.

She could feel the jealousy filling up every muscle of her body as it would wake anger up in her. She used to be the only girl around Adam. Of course there were always a lot of girls around him but she always knew they matter nothing to him.

But she knew that Shakira for him was the same as she was. And she hated this fact.

They had never had anything but she started falling for him and she couldn’t stop it as she couldn’t unfall for him. She knew he possibly would never fall for her back but there was some hope inside her heart but watching him and Shakira the hope was sinking slowly as he treated her the same. And in some points it even felt that he treated her much better.

Christina and Adam fought a lot when Shakira and Adam always got on good. And she knew that there were more chances for him to fall into Shakira than into her. And these facts were tearing her heart apart.

“So what do you think?” Usher asked taking Christina back to reality out of her thoughts.

“What?” she asked as she didn’t listen to him at all. She got too much into what was going on in the back of the yacht.

“Were you listening?”

“I’m sorry I just got distracted” Christina said honestly. Usher was going to repeat what he had said when Blake joined them as Cee Lo and Carson followed him.

“Oh it seems during season 4 Christina got to be replaced.” Cee Lo smirked.

“Christina was sitting too far from Adam comparing to Shakira so they got closer” Blake smiled. “Though maybe not as close as Christina and Adam were during rehearsals for Moves Like Jagger”

“Eww, Blake! That’s disgusting!” Christina protested covering up what she really felt. Moves Like Jagger was happening when he was just a friend for her and there was honestly nothing between them then. She wished they would create this song later. Maybe he would get to fall for her too?

“It seems we’re the only ones that got away from the company” Adam looked around seeing everyone talking and laughing together.

“Is that bad?” Shakira asked looking at Adam. “Somehow I don’t feel like having fun right now”

“Oh, so you got my mood as a couple of minutes ago you wanted it” Adam smirked as he looked into Shakira’s eyes as their looks met.

There were some sparkles between them but was it just for Shakira? She knew she was falling for him. It was impossible not to fall for him, he was always so charming and sweet around her. She knew he was such kind of guy and tried to ignore all of his flirtation but spending so much time together didn’t prevent her from falling in love with Adam.

“See what you’re doing with me” she smiled as they still kept the look on each other.

“Then I need to help you get rid of this sadness I brought you” Adam smirked as he tickled her a little what made her laugh softly.

“What are you doing?”

“Improving your mood” he answered intensifying tickling what made her laugh harder and she started to run away as Adam chased her.

The company immediately looked at them hearing the laugh as they watched how funny they looked. Everyone was enjoying the picture in front of them. Everyone except for Christina. She wished to end up on Shakira’s place at the moment. The anger entwined with jealousy grew bigger and she felt like she was going to throw up watching them. She turned around to watch on the sea trying to ignore the laughs she heard but the sound was still chasing her making her heart ache. It was impossible to pretend that everything was fine.

She went to bathroom to close the door that she couldn’t hear and see them having fun. But walking there she didn’t notice that she passed exactly between Adam and Shakira what cause Adam bumping into her as she almost fell to the ground. But he got to catch her arm as she was couple of inches above the ground. He pushed her up helping her to stand up.

He removed the lock of the hair from her face and looked into her eyes. “I’m sorry” he said. Possibly it meant nothing to him but these eyes looking straight into hers made her heart beat faster as her stomach flipped. They stayed like that for a minute, quietly, without saying a word as she just got out of his arms sharply and headed back to bathroom.

She could feel electricity go through them. Through her. Though she tried to get rid of the feelings it seemed they just grew bigger. She tried to keep tears that formed in her eyes but as soon as she closed the bathroom doors they rolled down with a heavy stream.

For a second a note of jealousy went through Shakira’s body also. The way Adam and Christina looked at each other made her feel sick to her stomach. For a second it seemed that they got into their own world. She had never felt so with Adam.

But it didn’t last for long as Adam caught her in his strong arms. As she got distracted Adam was already back to chasing. He put his arms around her and it felt so good for her. Being so close with him, being into his arms.

“It’s not fair!” she screamed through the laugh.

“So fair” he smirked letting her out of his embrace. Losing his touch made her feel bad, she loved the feeling when her body was pressed to his. And she wished she could stay like this for some time. But she knew he needed to let her go. “My purpose is done here. You’re back to a good mood.”
