Adam went down to the beach and sat next to Shakira. He put his arm around her waist kissing her cheek lightly. He glanced over Christina who quickly removed her gaze as soon their eyes met.

Now he knew what to do. He knew which girl to choose. He spent over an hour watching both of them and trying to figure out what he felt. Blake’s words continued echoing in his mind. He did loved one of them. And after some time he finally let himself admit it.

But right now he wanted to do everything right. He didn’t want to hurt them again. Though he knew he would have to create pain for one of them. He would have to say that he would never be with her. And he really wanted to avoid it. But right now he had no choice.

Blake was right. If he didn’t want to lose both of them, and especially this one girl, he should stop running from one to another. Now he knew what he had to do. Maybe he didn’t have a wish for it but he knew it was right. And he was ready for it.

“Let’s take a walk” Adam whispered to Shakira as they were all sitting in the garden in the evening.

She nodded slightly as he took her hand and led her to the beach. Adam took a deep breath glancing on Shakira. He could see notes of fear in her eyes. She was scared of what he might say. His look was too serious.

“Yesterday” Adam started quietly. “You told me you love me”

And there was this topic Shakira wished to forget. But he needed to bring it up. She nodded lightly feeling the fear filling up her insides as he continued.

“I’m afraid I can’t tell you the same. And will never be able to. Because…” Adam’s voice broke in the middle of the sentence. He could watch tear rolling on Shakira’s eyes as he wished to stop what he was going to say. But now it was time to fix everything. He had to continue. “Because I have feelings for another person” he finished under his breath.

Shakira was immobilized for couple of minutes looking for the answers in Adam’s eyes. But all she could see was ‘I’m sorry’ expression. She could feel her heart ache at understanding the fact that she was losing him. Losing him forever. And during this little period of time they were together she got to fell deeper in love with him. Her mistake. To ever fall for Adam.

“I’m sorry” he whispered in some time.

“I need some time. Alone” Shakira answered as she didn’t wait for his answer and moved along the beach getting away from the hotel. Adam went in other direction joining the company. But one person was missing. The one he wanted to see right now. He glanced afar as she found a blonde girl sitting on the bench. She had her legs into her arms as she was looking deep into the sea. Still that broken expression he wished to fix. And right now he actually could do it.

He didn’t stay any second more on his place as he made his way towards her.

“Christina” he said quietly distracting her from the thoughts. She turned her gaze from the sea to Adam. He met her blue eyes that seemed so sad. It was breaking his heart. But now he knew why. He sat on the bench next to her turning to face her as she continued looking into the blue water. “I need to talk to you”

“Talk” she said simply.

“Look at me” he demanded gently.

She stayed looking on the water for another couple of seconds before unwillingly she got to raise her eyes up to his. He smiled lightly understanding that he was ready to say this and that he would mean it with all of his heart. These blue eyes were giving him confidence and he knew that these eyes belonged to the only person who would hear this coming from him. “I love you” he said quietly but still with obvious confidence in his voice.

He could watch confusion go over Christina’s face not understanding what these words meant. What she was expecting the least was these words coming from him.

“I love you” he repeated giving her to understand that she heard him right. “And more than anything in the world I don’t want to lose you… what is happening right now. I need you” he kept his gaze in her eyes following her emotions. But it was just confusion for now. She didn’t know should she get happy or vice-versa.

Tears rolled up on Christina’s eyes. “I don’t… I can’t… I can’t believe you... I can’t trust...” she mumbled still trying to put his words in her head.

“I know” he said. “Take as much time as you need. Just know that I will be here. Always for you. Ready to catch you whenever you feel ready to jump” he could see a light smile on Christina face as he continued. “I know I hurt you too much for you to trust me. But I will try to prove you that what I’ve just said is the truth”

Christina looked deep into his eyes as tears started rolling down her face. She hugged her legs tighter burying her head in them. She wanted to trust him. But she was too afraid of this. She was afraid to get into relationship with him. It could bring her happiness as she truly fell for him, but it also could bring pain if what he just said was just another game. She didn’t know what she should do. And she wasn’t ready for any actions.

Adam looked on Christina for another couple of minutes as he stood up and went away.

“What did you do to Christina?” Blake asked angrily as Adam got back. He looked over Christina and saw her crying.

“Nothing” Adam said calmly.

“What did you say to her?” Blake continued.

“I told you, I did and said nothing!”

“Why she is crying then?”

“It’s not your business” Adam hissed getting irritated by Blake’s questions “Let us decided on our own about our relationships!”

Blake glanced at Adam with fierce look but said nothing as they started talk about something Adam didn’t really thought about. All he was thinking right now was Christina. And what he caused her. Would she ever be able to forgive him? Would she be able to trust him?

In some time Shakira came back to everyone as she sat in front of Adam and glanced at him. Her eyes were so broken. And he felt so guilty about it. But much more guilty he felt about the blonde girl that was sitting alone on the bench right now, away from everyone.

Adam avoided Shakira’s glance as much as possible. And so did she. He should have started anything with her as it went too far. But right now it was too late to fix that pain he caused her. But he hoped that it would be gone very soon. And that she didn’t mean those words on the beach. But he knew it was impossible.

In half an hour Christina finally made her way back to everyone. She sat on the couch next to Adam. There wasn’t much place as she turned out to be too close to him. Closer she was able to accept yet.

She leaned to Adam’s ear whispering. “How can I know that I can I trust you?”

Adam looked into Christina’s blue eyes gazing there for a couple of seconds trying to find an answer. He sighed as he turned to everyone “We’ll be right back” he took her hand as they headed to the beach.

“What do you want to know?” he stopped near the water facing Christina.

“Before getting in something with you I want to make sure you won’t hurt me the way you were during last days.”

“I have no proofs for this” he sighed. “My only proof is this” he came closer to her, took her face in his hands and placed his lips on hers softly. He pulled away but not too far, still holding her face. “It’s your choice to trust me or not. But I’m sure this is worth a risk. I would be ready to do it for you” Adam proceeded. “I can’t ask you for this. It’s your choice only”

Christina looked at him quietly trying to make her decision that was screaming inside her head. But her mind was hesitating. She looked one last time in his eyes before she could make her decision. She did trust his eyes. Her feelings for him were too strong. It was worth risking. She wrapped her arms around his neck kissing him passionately. “I love you too” she whispered pulling away and looking up into his eyes giving him understand that she was his.
