Some Tension On The Island

Chapter 2

“Chris, what were you doing there for so long?” Adam said seeing Christina. She was the only one missing in their company. As she came closer Adam grabbed her by the waist. “You’re missing out a lot” he smiled looking down on her but she pulled away out of his arm.

He gave her a questioning look at her sudden hostility. But she ignored him as she tried to get into the talk the company was leading. She behaved herself like he wasn’t there and that made Adam watch her for some time trying to get what was on her mind and where he went wrong. As obviously everything was good until this exact moment and he knew no reason for what could cause it.

“Hello, Adam!” Blake waved in front of his face. “Where are you flying?”

“Sorry. What did you say?” Adam answered immediately getting back to reality. As Blake continued Adam glanced on Christina who glanced back at him. For a second their eyes met when he tried to read in them what was wrong but she sharply moved them away to Blake. That left him questioning more.

“Maybe you have improved my mood but yours is still bad” Shakira whispered leaning to Adam’s ear.

“You can try to fix it” Adam whispered back smirking.

Christina looked over them as jealousy continued walking round her body. She tried to strangle it but it didn’t work. But she was doing great with covering it as she took an active part in the conversation that was going on.

“I will. Just later when we’ll be alone” Shakira smiled playfully making a step away from Adam. They exchanged some glances and that was visible not only for Christina.

“What’s going on between you two lovebirds?” Blake teased Adam glancing from him to Shakira.

“What? Oh what are you talking about, Shelton?” Adam protested getting irritated quickly.

“Don’t pretend like you don’t get it!” Cee Lo exclaimed.

“That you’re seeing something where it is nothing it’s not my fault” Adam muttered visibly disliking the talk that was going on.

“It’s impossible to see something if nothing exists” Christina said quietly. Adam looked at Christina as part of him was happy that she finally had said something to him but it wasn’t something he wanted to hear. He didn’t want her to go on boy’s side. And that voice, he could still feel the hostility in it. It wasn’t their usual banter where she went against him, there was something under it but he couldn’t get what. And the most important why?

“Even Christina sees it, so don’t deny it Adam!” Blake grinned. He loved teasing his friend, he loved getting on his nerves, it always made him laugh they he went angry.

“Whatever! Don’t we have a better subject to discuss?” Adam’s voice was filling up with annoyance more and more as he hated bringing up his relationship to anyone. He loved that his feelings were locked inside him.

“As you wish. We still have a week for it” Blake smirked giving Adam understand that he wouldn’t leave him so easily. So a week of teasing and games was waiting for him. Well, it was a usual thing between them.

In half an hour they came to the island. Everyone headed to their rooms trying to relax from the travel. Though it was fun it was still tiring. So everyone used this time to do their own things and to rest a little.

The sun was slowly going down as Shakira decided to go for a walk along the beach. Coming out of the hotel she ran across Adam who was also going in that direction.

“You still seem sad” she smiled. “It seems I have to keep my promise”

“Oh, yes you have to” he smirked ready to go with her to some place where noone would see them. He wanted to get alone with her, especially knowing what teasing would come from the boys as soon as they see them together. Of course he didn’t care but he still didn’t want to give them another reason.
