Maddie shot me in the wrist, then tackled me.
"TRY PUNCHING ME WITH THAT!" My wrist was bleeding a shit ton. I let out a loud scream. And got up.
"Leave them be, Sam-Maddie. I meant Maddie. This dude doesn't matter." Jerome said. I ran towards the exit and shot both of the guys before I ran out. There was a ton of police cars there all pointed at me. It took me a second to realize they weren't here for me. I was currently sobbing. The two escapees stumbled through the door.
"FREEZE. HANDS UP. NOW." The man yelled in German.
I threw the gun to the ground and ran in an alleyway. Probably not a good idea to throw a loaded, just used gun on cement but what did I care. I went to the spot I hid my car.

"It's all wrapped up. You need to be careful." Victoria said, taping the already bloody bandage. "I think you cut your mouth even more." She touched my cheek with her warm hand. "It looks even more like a smile.." She frowned. I frowned on one half of my face. "You can't be running around being a hero in just a hoodie and a bandana." I jumped off the stool.
"I'm not a hero. I'm an assassin." I said. "I've killed people. With fire and knives and guns and my whip. I'm a killer." I said, feeling some blood come out of my left cheek.
"You need a suit. Not your skinny one. A protecting one." Victoria ignored what I said. "I know a few people." She said.
"How do you mean?" I asked, curious, she smirked.
"I'll contact them. You just let that arm heal. You almost nicked your vein with your carelessness." My eyebrows shot up.
"Your English has improved." I said, grabbing a grape and popping it in my mouth. Ow!
"Yeah, it has." She smiled and walked off. I took a deep, shaky breath.
Why couldn't I pull the damn trigger. It was aimed so perfectly at his head. Why didn't I? I'm failing at my brothers orders once again. Maybe I should have quit on Jerome when I had the chance. When he 'died' and things would have gotten better if he wasn't there in Gotham.
I don't think he would have lasted in Gotham alone. Someone would see him, and Jerome would be shot on the spot.
I tightly shut my eyes.
What's my problem??
"Sam, you'll need to see this." Victoria called from the living room. I sauntered over lazily. I wasn't in the mood for any of-
"Breaking news, the masked vigilante has struck again. Sources say this man or woman seemingly came from nowhere in an attempt to save a group of people in the Del Monite restaurant. What do you think about this masked hero? The person hesitated in shooting Jerome Valeska and got shot in the hand, soon after Jerome Valeska and Madeline Rogue fled the scene. The masked person shot and severely injured two of the asylum escapees, letting the cops do their job." The man on the tv said, I rolled my eyes.
"Amazing! On social media they're calling this hero Shadow." I groaned at the woman on tv.
"I know who I'm killing next." I said, making a gun with my hands and pretending to shoot her. "That's so stupid. I'm Sam Galavan, not some hero they can rely on. They deal with their own shit, and I'll deal with mine."

Later that night, I got a call from Penguin.
"Sam Galavan. You actually picked up this time, wow!" He said with an insane laugh. "You failed. You broke your promise. So you and your family are dead. Watch your back." He hung up.
Okay??
~~~
Nothing scares me more than fangirls and fanboys. They found out I was female by doing some secret spy shit, I guess.
I went back to Gotham for a few weeks. Three I think. I stayed with my brother and sister, but everything was off. Gotham city is dark. I remember one night, in Gotham, I saw Selina.
"Hey!! Sam!!" She shouted then jumped in front of me. "You shouldn't have came back." I just kept walking and she was walking backwards. I had no time for this Penguin shit. I put down my hood and she gasped.
"Thanks for the warning. But I can handle myself." I growled.
"What happened to your face??" I finally stopped in a parking lot with her following.
"You want to be taught to fight don't you?" I asked, she shrugged.
"I mean, if you're getting injuries like that then i don't know." I rolled my eyes at her snide comment. "Other than that, yeah." She paused and crossed her arms, "how'd you get that anyway." She asked curious.
"Jerome." I said. Then, a black car pulls in the parking lot and before I could react, Selina was gone.
I didn't run. I stood sideways so my cuts weren't visible in those lights.
"Sam Galavan. Back already?" Gordon said, walking towards me. "You need to come to the station for questioning." He said in a demanding tone. "You shouldn't have came back." He said.
There was a long pause as he was standing in front of me.
"Silent treatment? Look, i bet you know how much I hate Jerome. He probably told you. And I'm not taking shit from anyone who helped him." He pushed me back and my full face was in the light. I looked up at him with an expressionless face.
"I hate him too." I said. He looked startled, but I'm sure he's seen worse. I grinned "take a guess why?" I laughed quietly and darkly.
"You're under arrest." He growled and pulled out cuffs. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one which I bet you can, one will be given at the governments expense. Do you understand your rights as I've given them to you?" I put my hood up and backed up. "Sam. You're done. Stop trying." I put up my fists.
"I'm doing something good for once." I yelled, "and you're not going to stop me." He put a hand on his gun and the other palm facing me.
