~Max's POV~

~Next Day~

I walked up to Snow's front door to knock, obviously. I'd waited for a few minutes but nobody answered. "Hello!" I knocked for a few times before I heard heels clicking on the floor. Snow's mom came to the front door, finally.

"Oh hello Max!" The middle aged women that I've never met before smiled showing her perfect white teeth. Her hair wasn't blonde like Snow though, it's a long light brown hair with a tent of red in it. "Are you looking for Snow?" One thing that pops in my head, Snow must of talk about me because I have never met her mother at all. I'm slow, I know because I usually examined at the person first then think about what just happened.

"Yes, I wanted to talk to her," I look at her holding hope for Snow to be here.

"Uh yes, she's been stuck in that room playing video games all day. I really wanted you or Lilly to come over to get her out of there," her voice was soft and light with a heavy southern accent. For some reason, I loved the accent so much I would've live in a barn with people -mainly women talking their hearts away and I wouldn't mind one bit. "Also I heard that you and Lilly trying to talk her in to be your accompanist. I would love to go to those competition with her playing," she looked at the ground with sad eyes. "I missed the piano playing in the background with tunes I've never heard before," she looked up at me with a bright toothy smile. "I have hope for her to play again!" I smile at her; I actually started to begin to like people down here. They are more- nice and they wouldn't give up hope even though there's clearly no hope to be found.

"Uh yeah, I was going to talk her into being my accompanist today since there's a competition coming up soon," I said, fiddling with the music folder in my hand.

"Oh good, come right on in," she moved out of the way for me to go in house. "She's up stairs, first door on the right," she pointed to the stairs which I followed. Right before I got up to the second step, I was stopped by a death grip on my wrist, I looked back to see Miss Mill glaring right at me. "If you hurt her one bit, I swear I will have your head burn in hell," my eyes widen with shock. How did this women became an cute little bunny to an angry momma bear. "You can go now," she gave me a small smile before she walked away into the living room.
