Skykit woke up to coughing. she blinked open her eyes and seen frogkit laying on his side coughing. at that same moment raindapple jumped to her paws "how long have you been coughing" demanded raindapple. "just since this morning" croaked frogkit. struggling to get to his paws. "no lay down let me fetch ravenwing" raindapple meowed as she turned and started towards the medicine cat den.skykit got to her paws and stretched. 7 sunrises ago mudpaw and oakpaw moved out of the nursery. skykit padded towards her father. "you sleeped in" commented stormclaw, leaning forward and resting his nose on skykit. "frogkit is coughing" meowed skykit. "stormclaw was up in an instant. "where is he now!" he demanded. "uhh i think he is still in the nursery, ravenwing is tending to him" stammered skykit. she followed stormclaw to the nursery. ravenwing was already with frogkit. "is he ok?" demanded stormclaw. "he's gonna be okay. its just a little cough, nothing serious." stated ravenwing. "but im gonna keep an eye on him" she meowed as she sniffed frogkit. "i got to take my apprentice hunting" he meowed to raindapple, giving her a lick on the muzzle as he turned and padded out of the nusery.

Skykit from this moment on until you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as skypaw. stonebird, you shall mentor skypaw.

skypaw ashpaw skypaw ashpaw. the clan cheered. frogkit wasnt able to be made an apprentice due to sickness. he has been sick for half a moon now, he had to move to the medicine cat den. "congratulations" murmed oakpaw coming to sit by skypaw. "now we can be denmates again" he meowed joyfully, puting his muzzle against her cheek. embarrassment flooded over her. does he have to do this to me in front of all the cats! she thought as he pulled away "skypaw, come i shall show you the territory. ashpaw and hazelfoot are coming with us." he meowed heading for the reeds. "see you later!" meowed skypaw to oakpaw as she ran to follow her mentor. ashpaw cought up to her "when were done do you want to go see frogkit?" he meowed to skypaw. "sure we can bring him some freshkill to." she meowed srambling over a boulder. "thats if he will eat it" muttered ashpaw. skypaw pretended not to here. "come on, lets catch up." she said through gritted teeth as she scrambled away. ashpaw followed right behind her.
