It Sucks

Seeing happy couples sucks. Watching someone younger than you getting married sucks. Having to smile and laugh and clap along even though you're not into it really, really sucks.

It makes you feel even worse because it makes you think of her and how it was almost you two getting married six months ago.

It's not like you're too drunk, but you found yourself at her doorstep at almost three in the morning, still clad in your tux. You only see her furrow her eyebrows, her lips set in a thin line.

"It was almost us," you say.

Yeah.
