Four hours later we were still in the waiting room. I'd fallen asleep with my head on Matt's shoulder at some point and was just starting to wake up when I heard him say something to whoever had just arrived. I managed to open my eyes and saw Bree sitting on the other side of Matt. She smiled at me and then replied to whatever Matt had said.

I dimly remembered Bree telling me she was going to come over today but I expected it wasn't going to happen anymore. There were more important matters at hand.

I closed my eyes and Matt shifted so his arm was around my shoulders. He started playing with my hair and was slowly lulling me back to sleep.

The next time I woke up I felt Matt's lips on mine. I smiled against his lips a second before I pulled away and opened my eyes. "Well hello there."

He smiled. "I know I told you to rest but I don't want you to sleep all day. Besides, we're alone for a couple of minutes while the others go get something to eat."

"All alone?" I asked placing my hand on his knee.

His eyes darkened a touch and his smiled widened. "I don't think that's such a good idea in a hospital while you're that pregnant."

I pouted and he cupped my chin in his hand. "There's other things we could do while we wait."

Matt's lips were a millimetre away from my lips when Tyler ran into the room. "Man, I cannot catch a break."

He started to pull away but I kissed him quickly before he'd gotten very far.

Tyler smiled like an idiot at us. "They're here."

I hopped up as fast as I could and crossed the room to give him a hug. "That's amazing! Can we see her or is she resting?"

He bit his lip. "I was told to bring Tess in but she's not here at the moment. I don't think Whit would be too upset to see you instead while Tess assumably eating."

I smiled. "Lead the way then."

We talked about nothing the whole way to the room but Tyler was too happy to notice let alone care.

Whitney was lying in the bed with two bundles carefully protected in her arms. When Tyler walked over she let him carefully take one of the bundles. He said something to her and she look at the door. Seeing me she smiled shyly.

"Hey there, Whit."

"Claire. You look like you're about to join me in this bed."

We laughed and I walked over to them. "So how are your little girls?"

"Both happy and healthy. I can't wait until Simon, Anastasia and Jace come to meet them. They're going to fall in love with them just like I have."

I smiled. "So who's who?"

She looked down at the pink bundle in her arms. "This is Aurora." As if in answered Aurora cooed at Whitney and blew a bubble at her.

"She's adorable!"

Whitney beamed at the compliment. "Isn't she though? Odette's with Tyler right now. She already seems to be the quieter of the two."

I turned to Tyler and saw Odette silently watching me. "I can see what you mean."

"I just hope she stays this quiet during the night," Tyler joked.

"After three kids you guys should be used to this!" I joked. "No sleep is the part of being a parent."

"I can't wait until it's your turn," Whitney said with a sigh. "All the sleepless nights in your future will teach you what hell being a parent can be sometimes."

I smiled down at the cooing Aurora. "I think it'll be worth every sleepless night to be able to hold such an adorable bundle of life in my arms."

She followed my gaze with a smile of her own. "It really is."
