Clash 5: Nathan & Hermes

Athena's Pov:

"Yes, I hit you with a soccer ball on your forehead....."hermes said.

"You really don't know how to play soccer, huh?"

"Well, it was just when I left Nathan's family and could'nt teach me how to play the game"

Nathan? I thought of them being related to each other, are they brothers?

"Nathan?!"I said, and wait for him to reply.

"Yes, my cousin, and bestfriend"

"What happened? Why did you left?"

"A long time ago, at the village of Bruce, in a mansion".........

Flashback:

Lived a wealthy man, with his wife and son, Nathan.

He was the heir of his family's lands and riches.

But I, was a son of a simple and noble man, Soletaire Pines and his wife, Ridley Pines.

When my father died, I was sent to the house of The Windstales.

My mother sent me there, in order to live with my uncle.

"Nathan, meet your cousin, Hermes"uncle Orion said with a gloomy voice.

I was scared to meet them, even if they were part of my family..........

"Say hello nathan"said, Aunt Eunice.

"H-Hello....."

I knew that I shouldn't be shy but, I just thought of my father being here, in that case i would still be happy.

"Hello, m-master nathan"I said.

In that time, I felt my hands shaking a bit, I missed my parents.

"You can call me by my name, no need for master"he said.

"Okay, nathan....."I said as his father went inside their mansion.

His mother stared at me and said "You may come in, hermes".

I smiled and went inside with nathan.....

After years, he became my bestfriend, my brother.

We bond each and everyday, he taught me how to play soccer but I still don't know how.

"Hermes come on! Let's play soccer!"

"I can't my leg is broken"

He frowned and sat in the grass, he kept telling me stuffs about his older brother, Ares.

He said that I was like him, a brother who cares and a brother who protects.

"Hey, you know, how about we have some fun"I said and looked at him.

He began to smile and said "Sure!".

Well........he likes danger.

So we play in a tree on a high place, jump on huge waterfalls and other dangerous stuffs.

We got scolded in our every adventure....

But there's a day, when everything changed.

"Hermes! Come on hurry up"

"Nathan, wait...don't climb too fast!"

"Come on! check out this cool view here, it looks rad!"

"Wait, just a little more steps! Ugh"

"Here, let me help you"he grabbed my hand and lift me up, and I sat in the branch.

We were sitting in one of the tallest tree in Bruce.

"Wow! So it really is the most perfect view in town"I closed my eyes and feel the breeze in the tree.

It was like flying.

But then, "Hey, look hermes, our mansion is right over t-"

We heard a noise from the tree, it was those tree cutters....

"H-hermes!"

"Nathan?"we looked at each other, we were really scared.

As the tree fell, nathan and I fell on the ground and got hurt.

But, I. Hang on a branch and sooner the tree was cut, I fell on a lower ground.

We were found by the maids, and they brought us to the mansion.

"I told you not to cut that tree down! You almost got my son killed!"I heard my uncle shouting in the lobby.

Talking with those tree cutters earlier, I also saw nathan lying on the couch with injuries.

My uncle turned his face around me and said "And you! Y-you, get out of my house!"he shouted.

"You got my son hurt everytime you and nathan go outside! This is the last time you will ever see nathan again!"my heart broke into pieces...

As I heard those harshful words from my uncle, leaving nathan was a hard thing for me, I lost everything.

My parents, my family, my home...and nathan.

I left the mansion, I followed uncle, I followed what he said.

As I dragged myself outside the gate, I whispered through the air "Goodbye.....Nathan".

End of Flashback.

"I din't knew you were cousins"

"He'd probably forgot it by now, it's been 12 years I guess".

Hermes was my bestfriend, how could I not know this?

I felt sad for him, it was like the time when my aunt died, sadness came to me.

*bell rings*

I gasped and said "Hey! Come on! It's dismissal time!"

"Oh, you're right! come on, let's go"
