I walked into my mansion with my brother, Ciel. Our butler, Sebastian, following behind us.

"Anything you two need?" Sebastian said opening the door for us.

"No, thank you." I said walking off.

"Some tea would be nice." Ciel said heading for the study.

I walked up to my room. I looked in the mirror. My long hair was in pigtails that streamed down to the middle of my back, when down it goes to my hips. I looked at my dress, it seemed to be in order. I decided to read until dinner so I got up to go to the library.

---------------------------------------------

We had many books in the library, Shakespeare, Hans Christian Andersen and many classics. I picked out Hamlet and walked back to my room.

I walked into my room and saw my brother sitting there on my bed.

"And what do you think you're doing exactly?" I said crossing my arms.

"Hamlet..." He said ignoring my question. "Your favorite book. You must've read it about a thousand times."

"Yes. It is a very good book." I said looking at the worn cover.

"Annalisse..." He said standing. "You're sixteen. And I'm thirteen. I should be crying over our parent's deaths. But you insist on hanging onto them."

"You know you miss them too." I said with an edge in my voice.

"I do, but I don't mourn them every second of my life. You've lost all communication with everyone you were ever close too, even me. You can't just lock yourself up in your room and read that damned book forever!" He said almost screaming.

I threw the book at him and walked out of my room. A bath would take my mind off of things. "Mey-Rin!" I yelled into the kitchen.

"Yes, my lady?!" She yelled in reply almost falling off of her stool to get the dishes.

"Come prepare a bath for me, Sebastian can deal with those dishes."

"Y-yes, my lady!' She said saluting me and almost dropping about twenty dishes.

I covered my face with my hand and walked off to go undress. Sebastian helped my brother more than he helped me. I wasn't as dependent on Sebastian as my brother was. I only asked Sebastian to cook, clean and protect the house.

Everything else I did on my own. He did have his hands full with my brother anyways.

Mey-Rin turned off the water as the tub filled. I walked in with my bathrobe on. "Is this enough, my lady?"

"Yes, Mey-Rin. Thank you. You are dismissed." I said.

Mey-Rin took off and I took off my bathrobe and sank into the warm water. I took out my pigtails and let my hair down.

I thought about my parents. I thought about what Ciel had said.

I couldn't let go. I had known them longer than he had, even if by three years more.

I realized I needed my brother more than he needed me.

My aunt was dead...

My parents were dead...

My cousins lived far away...

I basically was alone and my brother was the only person to save me.

I heard a knock at the door.

"Annalisse?" I heard a familiar voice ask.

"How did you sneak into my mansion, Grell?"

"I have my ways. Anyways, I suggest you shorten that bath, we have work to do."

I groaned. I did not want to work today. "Fine. I'm coming. Hide from the servants, would you? We don't need a scene."

"But there's nowhere-"

"There's got to be somewhere to hide."

Grell barged in the door and shut it.

I almost shreiked.

I put on my Reaper glasses and changed into a Reaper. "Gosh! I'll get dressed, jeez!!!" I tended to show more emotion as a Shinigami. Even though it's really supposed to be the other way around. Grell stared at the door while I got dressed. When I was completely dressed I tied my wet hair up in a ponytail, it was shorter now but not too much shorter.

"You're making me wonder if you wanted to see me naked." I said grabbing my guns.

"Ew! Like I would ever..." Grell dramatically fainted like Viscount Druitt does constantly.

I snuck out of the mansion with Grell following close behind. As we snuck out the front door I saw Sebastian walking out of the dining room and he saw me. He looked at me but then saw I was in my Shinigami outfit and he winked and I closed the door.

---------------------------------------------

"Grell Sutcliff... And Annalisse Phantomhive... You two attempted to collect more Cinematic Records from Daniel Redworth. Did you succeed?" William asked writing things down on a piece of paper.

I held the book of them up to him.

"Excellent." William said taking the book and opening it. "Ah, yes. This is the man. Nicely done. I'm surprised Grell didn't prevent you from doung so. You know him."

Grell growled. "William! You know I'm sitting right here! How could you say such things!!!" He said covering his face dramatically.

I rolled my eyes and started dragging Grell out of William's office.

"Ms. Phantomhive? May I speak with you for a moment longer? And keep Grell out, just shut the door."

I shut the door and walked over to his desk. "Yes?"

William looked me dead in the eyes and leaned in close to me. "May I ask you something?"

"Just hurry along with it? I don't have all day."

"Do you wish to go get something Tuesday night? Just you and I? We're off of work then anyways."

I blushed. I despised William, why was he asking such a foolish question?

"Well... I can't. I have to..."

Damn, I was completely free that night.

"Have to what?" William said with a bit of agitation in his voice.

"I'm free. That sounds nice. Ok bye." I ran out like my life depended on it.

Why couldn't I say no?

Damn these feelings to hell. I can't say no to my boss.

Well, I had my first date in years.
