I got ready for the party at Bella's house. I was sitting on the floor curling my hair and putting on make-up. I called Emily about me being sore and she said that it usually lasts about a day and a half. Jake offered his hand so I could get up and I took it. I walked/limped to the bathroom and put on some jeans that were ripped in different spot all the way up and a low-cut green shirt. I put on 2 bracelets and put in some earrings. I walked back out to my room and put on my sandals and looked in the mirror and I was satisfied. We walked to my jeep and drove over to Bella's house. The stinch of vampires filled my nose as I walked up to the door. I didn't even have time to knock before Alice huggede me.
"Happy late birthday.", She smiled and I thanked her. It was Edward, Bella, Alice, Emmett, Jasper, and Rosalie. Charlie was at Billy's.
I walked out to my jeep with Jacob and we put my presents in the back. We drove back to my house and took them inside. I started washing the few dishes left in the sink, Jacob was drying and putting away. I was lostin thought then I felt the knife cut me. It started to heal right when I cut it.
"You ok?", Jacob asked as he looked down at my hand.
"Yea.", I smiled and gave him a kiss on the lips and it turned into a make-out session.
-1 week later-
"COME ON SLOWPOKES!!!!!", Paul yelled up the stairs in my house.
We were all going to the lake house for 2 weeks. Here were the car arrangements. Emily, Sam, and Conner in Sam's car. Jacob and I in my jeep. Quil, Embry, and Seth in Embry's car. Paul and Jared in Jared's car and Leah was driving in her car. I walked downstairs with 2 suitcases. We all packed 2 since we were staying 2 weeks. I hit Paul on the head and Jacob helped me with my bags. I put my phone and sunglasses up front and walked to the back of the jeep. We put the top down and put everything that would fly out under the cover in back. Jacob was gonna drive. We got in and I lugged my phone in playing 'Beat This Summer' by Brad Paisley. I turned it up and Jacob drove with one hand, holding mine with the other. My fake nails shining againt our tan skin. When that song ended I played 'All Over The Road' by Easton Corbin, which is my favorite song of all time. We arrived at the Lake house 3 hours later. We got out and got our things out of the back and we all walked inside. Millions of memories flushed back when I opened those doors.
-Flashback-
"Daddy I can't b-breath.", I laughed as my dad tickled me, I was so ticklish when I was 4.
"You have to give me a kiss goodnight.", He smiled. I kissed his cheek and he smiled.
"Daddy can you read me a bedtime story?", I asked as I walked over and grabbed a book from the lakehouse book shelf.
"Of course princess.", He smiled and picked me up, carrying me to bed.
He tucked me in and sat beside me reading the princess book I picked out. I drifted off to sleep and the last thing I heard that night before I dozed off was, "Goonight princess, I love you."
-Flashback over-
I wiped the small tear that seemed to escape while I was lost in thought. I put my things in the closet next to Jacob's and I sat on the windowseal. I looked out at the lake thinking of how daddy would be about the whole Jacob and I dating thing and laughing and some of the things he would say if he could see me know. I thought about if my momma was here and her getting me ready for my first date with Jake. I miss my parents all the time and think about them frequently, but being here is making me think about them more and more.
-Flashback-
"Are you ready for this?", Momma asked me as she curled my hair for the prom, I was 16 years old and I was going with Jacob, just as friends.
"Kinda, I'm nervous.", I told her and she hugged me.
"There is nothing to be nervous about baby, just let go and have fun tonight.", She kissed my forehead then helped me with my dress.
"Awww princess you look beautiful.", Daddy smiled and spun me around.
"Thanks daddy, Thank you too momma.", I hugged them both, "I love you.", I smiled.
"We love you too baby.", They hugged me back.
-Flashback ended-
I wiped my fallen tears and I felt two arms snake around my waist. Jacob pulled me into his lap wipping the last tear.
"What's wrong baby?", He asked.
"I was just thinking about momma and daddy.", I rested my head on his shoulder, "I miss them, Jacob, alot." He pulled me closer to him and we sat in a comforatble silence.
We got up and I went in Emily and Sam's room. She was the only one in there, Sam had Conner in the living room. I shut the door and locked it and walked over to her.
"What's wrong sweetie?", She asked as I sat down on the bed next to her.
"I was just thinking about momma and daddy. Why was it them that had to die, it could have been anyone else, but it just had to be them.", I started crying and she hugged me.
"Honestly honey I don't know. Sometimes I wish it was wan't them either. I know you miss them and It's hard becoming an adult without your parents.", She looked at me.
"I just with they were still here. I miss them so much and being here is bringing back so many memories.", I told her and she hugged me again.
"Thank you for letting me talk to to you about this.", I smiled.
"Your welcome, you can talk to me anytime about anything. I am always here for you.", She smiled.
I hugged her one last time and left the room. I walked in the living room and Jake pulled me into his lap.
"You ok?", He asked and I nodded.
-Flashback-
"Merry Christmas!", Momma and Daddy walked into my room in the lakehouse.
They carried me downstairs and I tore into my presents. They were typical things for a 5 year old, barbie dolls, and big jug of bubbles, outfits for my dolls, some more chalk, a pink jumprope, and a huge box of crayons with a jumbo coloring book of the disney princesses. When I finished we spent the day coloring, and making cookies. It was the best Christmas ever.
