-6 months later-
"Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas baby!", I cooed as I walked in Maggie's room.
Our baby was turning one today, gosh times flies. She looked up at me and smiled. Since Maggie was born on December 25th, her birthday will always fall on Christmas.
I picked her up, "Mama!", She smiled.
She could already say a few words, and she is only 1 she is a quick learner.
I walked downstairs and saw Jacob was walking to the kitchen "Dada!", Maggie squealed with excitement when she saw Jacob.
He smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek, "Happy birthday and Merry Christmas princess.", She giggled and reached for him, and he took her in his arms.
We grabbed the presents and went to Sam and Emily's house. Everyone was there. We had Maggie's birthday party 2 days ago.
"Look who's here! Happy birthday, Magpie.", Summer smiled and kissed Maggie on the cheek as she smiled.
We put our presents down and walked to the couch Maggie stood up in Jacob's lap, holding on to his shoulder and hand so she wouldn't fall. She hasn't taken her first steps yet on her own though. Jacob put her on the ground and she crawled around to everyone. She crawled back to me and grabbed my leg, pulling herself up. I picked her up and sat her in my lap. They started passing presents out and Maggie smiled. Maggie opened her presents, with some help from us and she got she cute outfits and a lot of toys. I got a new dress, and some jewelry. We went to the dining room when Emily said it was time to eat and we ate our Christmas lunch. Maggie sat in Conner's old chair and Conner sat next to her. We all went back in the living room and sat around. I sat on the floor with Maggie and Jacob, Paul and Annie were sitting a few feet in front of us. Maggie stood up hanging on to my hands and started taking steps when I let go she fell, but she didn't cry. She stood back up again and tried again, still not getting the hang of it just yet. I held her in my arms as she fell asleep. Jacob and I walked home and I put her in her crib and walked downstairs.
"Hey if I went to go get a tattoo would you go with me?", I sat down across from him on the couch and propped my legs up.
"Yea, why? You want a tattoo?", He looked over at me.
"Yea.", I nodded.
"When do you want to go get it?", He asked.
"Tomorrow if we can." We discussed the plans and I was excited.
I have had my eye one specific tattoo for a long time.
We walked into the tattoo parlor after we dropped Maggie off at Emily and Sam's place. Summer and Thomas were on vacation and Billy was at Charlie's house watching football.
"Hi, what can I help you with today?", A guy that had a few tattoo's here and there asked me.
"I would like to get a tattoo, that looks like this.", I showed him a picture on a piece of paper that I printed off.
It was in the shape of a infinity sign, from bottom to top it said 'and in that moment i swear' and from top to bottom it said 'we were infinite', so the tattoo read 'and in that moment i swear we were infinite'. I handed him my ID and filled out the paper work and everything. I sat in a chair and he got everything ready. I was getting it on my right side, so I laid on my left side and Jacob held my hand. It hurt, but not unbereable pain. I squeezed Jake's hand a few times, but a little while later he was finished. He wiped over it and it was finished. Jacob and I both liked it, I was really happy that it turned out great. We went back to Emily and Sam's place to pick up Maggie and then we went home we didn't tell them because we agreed that we weren't going to tell anyone yet.
