"M-men! Fire at will!" The General screamed, hoping that at least one of his elite soldiers would be able to contain this abomination.

But the creature was quick to learn every position on the soldiers and took out them, one by one. Their numbers decreased rapidly until the last five soldiers, the general, two scientists, Bill Harvards and the woman were left. But the killing abruptedly stopped and the gigantic room fell into an uneasy silence. With a faint hissing of the gas still coming from the chamber where the creature once stood, everyone in the room noticed a faint glowing purple gas flowing through the hallway, engulfing the whole floor, rising up to their knees.

There was a sort of otherwordly entity, zooming past the soldiers so fast that no one could even tell what it was or where it was. But if they looked closely, they could see the faint glowing what once was purple eyes, now glowing with a dark blood-red eyes, staring deep into the person's eyes before suddenly exploding out and blood and internal organs flying everywhere with only one motion of the creature's swing.

No one had ever seen such a creature that had this power up till today, but what one person saw was the best thing that they'd ever seen and would never forget to congratulate their collegues for making such a beat.

It was a minute after the creature had disappeared and all the soldiers, the General and the two scientists were all killed except for Bill and the woman, standing next to one another and had the instinct to run.

Bill was the first to run without hesitation and with the woman following him after, their plan was to contain the creature before reinforcements came in. It felt like time slowed down when the both of them were running. Doing all they can to stop the creature, closing air-vents, locking air-tight doors and trap the creature inside open chambers.

What seemed like the perfect plan had the downfall... they'd have to release their creations that were created within the Abyss Floor of the building where Bill worked in. Bill and the women were coincidentally after a short while, running from the creature who was just a footstep away from them, the woman was struggling to keep up with Bill and he wasn't doing all that well to.

Just as the closed the air-tight locked door at the right moment, Bill began to stand up and regain his energy.

"You know, if we fail to complete this plan we have seemingly made up ourselves without talking,  then what would we do?" He asked.

"Well... we'd have to unlock more of the creations just to make more opportunities to trap that abomination."The woman replied.

"So, how many tries do we have?"

"Well, it's actually almost 11:00pm and we've been running for about... a couple of hours so I guess we have an infinite number of opportunities until the power saver activates."

"Two questions.

"What?"

"First of all, how do we have an 'infinite number of opportunities'. Second of all, when does that power saver activate again?"

"We can just reopen the chambers... idiot. And it activates at midnight."

"Oh yeah... well I guess... we have... 2 hour-"

"1 hour."

"...s. Sorry. My bad! Heh"

"You ready to run again? That Juggernaut's gunna start chasing us again."

"I'm always ready, as the mouse that is."

"Alright come on!"

As the woman stopped speaking, the door was broken and they had started to run again, both of them split up, hoping the creature would follow the other but both of them had a plan made up in their minds. The creature decided to follow the woman, whilst the man decided to change his plans and attempt to lock the creature in one of the smaller chambers. It was a risky attempt but if the woman was fast enough and could hold out long enough.

It wasn't long after the woman and the creature had made a dozen turns and circles around the maze-like floor until the man had made preparations for all the monster chambers. Bill tried the recall how the floor looked like from a bird's eye view, a couple of hallways leading to the centre circle, and outside of the hallways that led to it was the inner circle, which had even more hallways leading to the inner circle, if you zoom out far enough, it leads to the outer circle, which was where Bill was. Judging from the distance he was whilst the woman was running around and the creature following it not that far after, they were in the inner circle.

Suddenly, Bill gestured with his hands at the woman, the woman nodded as if she understood every single thing that he was trying to tell her.

Then, Bill increased his pace so that he could be directly opposite the woman, he could only see her for about a few seconds before it was blocked up by an ominous looking, blank piece of metallic textured wall. They had to time this almost perfectly or otherwise all hell would be let loose upon their world.

The woman made a sharp turn towards Bill after looking at each other for what seemed like minutes, waiting for the perfect moment to strike back. Bill lowered the height of the hallway to block the creature's view ahead and could only see the back of the woman. There was a very tense moment in the air as the woman used up all the remaining energy to sprint faster than she ever did, attempting to get the creature to accelerate faster.

Bill was ready to fire the suction machine to pull the creature in and prevent it from escaping and the button to close the chamber. He only had five seconds to time it right, he and the woman began to count to themselves.

"Five..."

"Four..."

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

Just before the woman made a quick turn to the left side of where she was running, opposite Bill. He fired the suction machine, hoping to increase the chances of getting the creature inside the chamber and Bill also pressed the button to trap the creature inside. In an attempt to escape, the creature released a gigantic puff of smoke-like gas to blind both of them, Bill heard the door shut but what happened after, was not what he himself would expect to happen.

There was a chill moment in the air... a tense atmosphere, and echoing screams coming from the dying soldiers at the centre circle. Bill and the woman waited for the 'smoke' to settle, awaiting their result. There was a gut-feeling Bill had which told him to run from there, but he refused to, he wanted to see if they had done it. Bill tried to focus his vision towards where the chamber should be and attempted to wave the 'smoke' out with his hands but it was only replaced with even more 'smoke' in that specific area. Then, after a few minutes, the smoke began to disappear slowly.

Finally, the smoke cleared up and all that was left... was the woman's amputated leg and arm, ferociously and violently bleeding out blood, it seemed like the leg and arm were cut clean off by some sort of blade-like weapon. Bill tried to call out... no response from the woman, he checked her pulse and breathing and assumed that she only passed out.

The tension died out a bit when the chamber revealed a closed door containing the creature inside, Bill picked the woman up and watched the creature for a moment... But something wasn't right... it wasn't moving. Bill shrugged his shoulders and began to walk to the elevator, calling some scientists from the other floors to come down and escort the creature back into the main chamber.

But, there was a very bad gut-feeling that Bill had, and it was welling up and growing bigger and bigger and it told him one thing...

"You're dead."

He felt a blade go into him digging into his flesh, going deeper and deeper through his body until he could just see the hilt coming through and saw the blood dripping from it. The illusion made by the creature inside the chamber dissipated into the air. It was too late, the creature had out smarted him and now, all he could do was hope that the other monstrosities in this floor would kill this demon that they'd made. Bill dropped the woman and collapsed, all he could hear was the echoes of his own sub-conscious, laughing at him, taking pity and whispering unfamiliar words and the last thing he saw was a smile, before he was devoured by his own creations.

This world was plunged into darkness and despair as the creature chuckled, proudly announcing himself to the world.

"Welcome. World. Time to enjoy my dark freedom..."
