You were with your friends in The Glade, and being the only girl meant every single one of you friends were guys. That wasn't bad, though. You thought it would be fun, being the only girl in a giant group of guys that liked to do stupid things like pranks and games that cause you to pour mud and water all over Gally.

It was fun for a long time, until your friends tended to get better looking, in your opinion. It was embarrassing, really. They have always been good looking to you, but as your friends. Why this was happening, you had no idea, but you admitted to yourself that you had a small little crush one of the Gladers.

That was embarrassing to you.

"Hey, Julie." Newt said, walking up to you."

"Hi," You replied, pulling some grass from the ground you were sitting on. You usually did this when you were bored.

Newt sat down beside you, a little closer than he usually did, but you tried not to notice it. You were sure that he didn't notice it.

You didn't look at him at first, mostly because your focus was on the small blades of grass that was in front of you.

"How's your day goin'?"

"Okay, I guess. Just another normal day. Gally is still mad at me for pouring that mud on him yesterday. It's funny, though."

He chuckled and you looked up at him. The sunlight was shining behind him, making his blonde hair shine more and his face was covered in shadows but you could still see his facial features, which made you internally blush.

"Yeah," Newt said, making you snap out of your thoughts. "Yeah, it is funny."

He smiled down at you, more of a smirk really. It almost felt unreal to you. The way he smirked made you just want to scream.

He leaned up against a tree and crossed his arms, sighing.

"You think we will ever get out of here?" You asked. He didn't look at you then, just stared out into the Maze door.

"I'm sure we will. Someday. We just have to... I don't know... keep looking."

You nodded. You asked all the time, finding everyone's opinion, though you hoped someone will just one day come up to you and tell you you're finally getting out of there.

"What about this new Greenie? Thomas, is it?"

"Yeah," Newt sighed. "What about him?"

"I don't know. Each Greenie could have something. You never know."

"Yeah."

It got a little awkward then, just you and Newt, sitting up by a random tree, in silence. You felt him looking at you a couple of times, and you looked back at him when he wasn't looking. This went on for what seemed like forever. You didn't want it to stop though. This was one of the rare times you and Newt actually sat there, alone together.

Finally, there was a moment when both of you stare at each other at the same time. You both look at each other, his face a little surprised you looked at him the same time he looked at you. You were about the same way.

He smiled a little bit, and that made you smile. Then, he started to lean in, which shocked you, but your instincts took over.

Then you and him were kissing. It felt as if millions of fireworks had exploded, and you didn't know if that was good or bad, though you were kissing back so that must've been a good sign.

He eventually pulled back and you were trying to keep from smiling, and it looked as though he was too.

You both went back to the way you were sitting before the kiss, as if nothing had happened.

"Sorry," he said. "I didn't mean-"

"No, its fine. Really."

You were both smiling now, and you couldn't help but chew on your lip to try to keep in the excitement.

That was embarrassing to you but it was exciting at the same time.

Man, this Glade was full of surprises.

Hey everyone of my amazing people!

Done with this one! Ill work on the other ones soon (I promise) and again they WILL be up by Friday. :)

And Captain_Gally, I hope you love it! I know it's a bit short but most of them will be short because of the time and of how busy I am.
