" Shawn I'm sorry I can't " she said pulling back.
" I totally understand I was wrong to attempt that I don't know what got into me " I said
" we both expressed our feelings but I need to take things slow if we're willing to make this work because I'm still a little distraught about what happened with my husband " she said
" I totally understand that and yes I'm willing to take things slow with you " I said
" give me 6 months of us being friends and getting closer and then I'll give you an answer " she smiled
" will do " I said standing up
" I should get going I have to babysit my nephew for my sister so it was nice talking with you" she smiled

I watched as she walked away smiling. I'm willing to make everything work out with her I'll wait six months because it's for someone I truly feel I can start a future with.
I went to my moms to pick up angel and then we both headed back home so we could start dinner.
" how was it today with grandma " I asked
" it was great she took me to get my nails done and we went shopping and then we went to her choir rehearsal " she said
" is she still trying to make your join the choir " I asked.
" yeah you already know she won't stop until I join which is never happening" she said
" yeah it will be happening because your going to start going to church with her every Sunday weather you like it or not ." I said
" dad that's not fair you know I have dates with the girls on that day " she groaned
" they'll understand and you can always reschedule" I said

" yeah I was just at the gym with her actually " I smiled remembering our conversation

We arrived to the house and I began making the dinner while she got all her school stuff together.
