Chapter One:
“Sam! Time to wake up!” I heard my aunt’s voice from the kitchen.
“Urgh… 5 more minutes…” I groaned in my bed.
“Sam! Wake up!” she continued to shout.
After a few minutes and I’m still in bed going back to my Lala Land. Maybe because my aunt has been calling me to wake up a dozen time, she shouted her loudest and not her nicest tone. “SAMANTHA SMITH JONES! YOU BETTER WAKE UP OR I GOING TO GO UP THERE!”
“Uh oh!” I thought as I heard what my aunt said and sprint off out of my bed and went in to the shower.
I went down to the kitchen and drooled to see a plate with eggs and strips of bacons on it. “That was fast. Seems like you broke your 17 minutes record.” My aunt said while cooking bacons, probably for my elder brother.
“Go and wake your brother. He is driving you to school.” I groaned and stood up to wake my brother up. Luckily his room is at the second level, unlike my room which is located at the attic. Trust me, I really love my room. I knocked at his door. No response. I knocked again. Still no response. This time I’m getting impatient.
“Okay, one more knock and if he don’t response, I’m barging in. “I talked to myself. I knocked again, only this time louder. All right, I am barging in. I opened his door and went dashing to his bed and sat on him, shouting at him to wake up. I guess I must be very irritating because my brother pushed me to the bed and hugged me so tightly till I was not able to breathe. And no, this is not incest. My brother and I are just close to each other since we only had each other when we are young. My parents were killed in a car accident by some guy which escaped. In the end, we never found out who that guy is, that killed our parents. 'Forgive and forget.' but trust me, we will never forgive the guy.
“Umm, S..SSam? I.. I –I CAN’T BREATHE!” My brother Sam realized that and release me. Phew, that was hell. I punched my brother’s arm playfully.
“Get up! I need you to drive me to school with you!” Sam mumbled and get up out of his bed. I gave him a smile and went down to eat my breakfast. Well, you can say my brother got ready faster than me because by the time I finish my meal, my brother is already outside honking his car at me to hurry up and get in the car.
This going to be a long ride to school.
