I weakly lift my head up from my knees and look up into my Saviors eyes.

"Alice? Oh my god, are you ok?"

I don't answer due to the fact that my lips feel like they're frozen shut.

He gently grabs my hand as if it were a piece of glass that could shatter any moment.

The cold snow continues to pound the ground.

"Your ice cold, how long have you been out here?"

I barely shrug my shoulders due to the weakness from the cold.

Before I could say a word he wraps his arms around me bridle style and picks me up.

God he's warm.

I burry my face in his chest and breath in the warm air surrounding him.

But as soon as it started it was over.

He placed me in his car and buckled me in and grabs a blanket from the back seat and covers me up.

"It'll be ok." He whispers.

The last thing I heard before my word went black.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wake up to the sound of beeping machines and coughing sounds.
"Where am I?" My voice croaks out due to not speaking but I had a feeling where I was.
A head pops up from its resting place at the end of my bed.
"Alice?" Two familiar bloodshot brown eyes meet mine and he hops up from his resting place.
"Yeah."
"Oh my god, don't ever do that again! You scared me to death." His worried expression subsides.
"What happened?"
As soon as I ask a nurse comes running in.
"Are you ok?" She asks with a worried expression.
"Yeah. I feel a little tired."
"Can you move your arms and legs?"
I wiggle my hands and toes in response.
"Do you think you can stand?"
I nod and begin to pull my layers upon layers of blankets off. As soon as my feet hit the ground, joshes hand grabs mine.
My memory starts flooding back in.
I take one step. Then two. Then three.
I look over to the nurse and she smiles.
"Your doing good for a person who had a case of mild hypothermia. Usually you loose a limb."
I wince in response.
"We'll do a little paper work and have you right out!"
She walks out of the room and closes the door leaving a crack.
I stood there with joshes hand still in mine trying to think of something to say.
"Than-" I begin to speak.
He lets go of my hand and wraps his arms around me.
"I was so scared." He whispers in my ear.
In the moment I lift my arms up and wrap them around his torso.
His arms tighten around me.
"I'm so sorry." I tighten my grip.
A click comes from the front of the front of the room and we quickly let go as the nurse walks in with the release form.
