Sorrowful Corpse

Let me die

Don't let me turn back

I watch with cold eyes

As my world withers and turns black

The gray of the clouds

Dims the light of the day

Standing in the pouring rain, I remember

There isn't a person who wishes for me to stay

Tears fill my eyes

As I look back on the years

Back when all was well

Back before all these tears

Let me fade away in the dark

Never to be seen again

It's not as if I will be missed

Just let me enjoy my pain

My face is now tear-stained

And was filled with sorrow

From all the pain

The endless agony of it all

I take a blade to my heart

And from there

Did my soul depart

Unbeknown to them

Not a soul cared, nor did they even hear

Of the tragedy of my passing

But when they finally did

They erupted in cheers

There wasn't a viewing

There wasn't a service

There wasn't a burial

There wasn't a cremation

They left me to rot
