"Converts"

Many Muslims use the word converts as almost a bad word. Labeling them as if they are something other than Muslims. We need to stop this they are Muslims, just as much as any Muslim who was born and raised a Muslim. We need to stop calling them converts they are Muslims and they don't like this label, and they don't like it when you make them feel they are lower than you; because let's be honest majority of born-raised Muslims do not look into Islam but converted Muslims do. If anything converted Muslims are usually more knowledgeable than born-raises Muslims.

My mom Alhamdulillah converted with the help of my dad a couple years after their marriage. The reason why she was so hesitant is because of all the Muslims making her feel down or making her feel as though she is lower class compared to them. This needs to stop, no man (woman) is better than another except in Taqwa. I'll give you an example of a time my mom was put down by a born-raised Muslim: My parents were invited to a picnic, it was a Muslim gathering picnic (My mom was not yet a Muslim at this time). My mom had made rice crispy treats by scratch not knowing that the marshmallows were made from pork gelatin. Do at the picnic a woman around her 40s came to my mom and yelled at her for being so insensitive and uncaring to Muslims because of the fact she made something with pork gelatin. Firstly my mom didn't know pork was haram even yet, and secondly because she didn't know she obviously didn't think to check if it was made with pool gelatin. So after that my mom was having second thoughts about becoming Muslim and any other non Muslim would as well if they were talked to in that way as well. Alhamdulillah though my mom educated herself on what Islam is all about and Alhamdulillah she loved the religion.

We have to also keep in mind that majority of the Sahabah were in fact converted Muslims. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about them being converted or even anyone labeling them. We need to treat our Ummah better, we are all human beings and we all have feelings.
