Chapter 5

His presence comforted me, He made Elijah,Abigael,and the rest of the world not so important simply by being there. Now that he was gone the past came rushing back, For the first time in years i realized just how much i have, or rather had. It reminded me of my dad telling me to live life like it's ending tomorrow.. it reminded me of just how much i loved him.

"Alexa" I was so deep in thought i hadn't noticed anyone, There he stood, Elijah. Both fear & love burned in my veins.

"Elijah.. but.. You?" I thought Dimitri said i was safe..

"Alexa, Dimitri cannot keep you safe, He's a liar and a thief"

"I don't believe you, Dimitri doesn't even know you" I said pushing my  eyebrows together in anger and surprise.

"It  doesn't matter, Your coming with me" He said grabbing my arm.

"No, Shes not." Dimitri stood in the entrance of the room i could tell he was angry, but i wasn't sure.. Well Alexander.. Elijah killed him.. what about Dimitri.. Can he?

Elijah was in front of Dimitri in seconds staring at him with cold hard eyes fixed on Dimitri. In a few minutes they were fighting. Over me. I felt like the whole world sped in 2x slower speed, The time passed to slowly. 

"Dimitri give up already, She's mine"

"She's nobodies!" Dimitri almost yelled in Elijah's face.

"She is now" Elijah smirked

"Please..." I said softly and Dimitri looked over at me sympathetically and faced Elijah again.

"Maybe you should stop Dimitri, She's mine and always will me, Get used to it" 

"I'm not anybodies!" I screamed as loud as i could. Both Dimitri's and Elijah's face turned toward me in surprise at my outburst.

"Dimitri, Keep her for now, But i promise you this, I will be back." Elijah said quickly shoving Dimitri off of him and he disappeared through the door.

"Alexa.. i'm sorry i wasn't here"

"It's okay Dimitri.." I said putting my hand out to help him up.

"Its not OK, The only way you can be safe is if i stay here" He said taking my  hand and stood up.

"Dimitri.. Don't worry, I'm okay now and that's all that matters.. And you need to get cleaned up" I said pointing to the spot on his arm that was scratched from when Elijah had fought him.

"I guess so.. Come on." He said taking my hand.

"I can stay here"

"Clearly thats not a very good idea" He said doubtfully.

"I guess not" I followed him up the stairs to the second floor.

"I'll be right in there" He said pointing to the door a few steps away.

"And i'll be right here" I said smiling softly.

He went in and my mind drifted off to Dimtri and Elijah fighting.. The sound of Elijah's voice when he said he'd be back.. It sent chills all through my body. I knew he meant it i just hoped somehow he would find someone else..
