I knocked on my best friend's door, trying to listen for his soft footsteps, or the sound of his door opening. My best friend had invited me over to play video games with him, so I had happily obliged. I tried to accept every chance I could hang out with Sollux. Because, honestly, I was flushed for him, as what the trolls would say. I had a huge crush on the muster blood.
I was swept from my dazed reverie as the Gemini opened the door. I tried to contain my blush and tried to remember how to breathe in his presence.
Sollux was looking at me through his bicolored shades; the shades he constantly wore over his bicolored eyes. To be honest, I had seldom seen his eyes without the shades before.
"Hey, (y/n)," Sollux greeted, rubbing the back of his head. "Nice to thee you."
I blushed a soft shade of red at his lisp. It was the cutest thing I had ever heard. It's one characteristic about the troll that attracted me to him.
"Hey, Sol. I came over, as you wanted. Ready to play some Halo?" I asked, smiling brightly at the tall muster blood.
In response to my question Sollux yawned. And now did I notice the bags appearing on the dark skin beneath his eyes.
"Sollux, have you been sleeping lately?" I asked, looking to my friend with concern.
Sollux, shaking his head, moved to the side so I could enter his hive, to which I accepted. I heard the door close behind me as I entered Sollux's living room.
"I've been working on a fucking long code for the patht few dayth now. It'th the longeth one I've worked on yet." Sollux said as he followed me.
I nodded as I sat down on his couch, grabbing his blue controller, turning on his HuskBox. Sollux plopped down beside me and grabbed his red controller.
"I'm gonna kick your ath." Sollux said confidently as he loaded the saved game we had proceeded in so far.
"Oh, we'll thee about that." I mocked his lisp, smirking.
~~~ 5 Hours Later ~~~
For the past five hours, we battled each other and other enemies in our wild game of Halo. We had played in a series of betrayal and partnership, yelling at each other and elbowing each other, playing (of course).
By now the room was beginning to quiet down, and Sollux's avatar began to reach a state of inactivity. His avatar only moved in short bursts of movements now, but other than that he didn't move at all.
"Sollux, come on, bro, enemies are everywhere!" I shouted, moving to elbow Sollux in the ribs.
I stole a quick glance over at Sollux only to see he had fallen asleep, the controller grasped loosely in his hands.
I smiled softly, saved the game, and shut off the console in the process. Sollux's hands twitched as I stole the controller from them, placing it on the table.
Maybe I could...
Reaching over, I gently pulled Sollux's bicolored shades from his face, watching as his eyelids twitched due to the loss of contact, his black eyeglasses fluttering against his grey cheeks. A blush lightly dusted my cheeks as my (s/c) hand brushed against Sollux's skin, a spark of electricity practically coursing up my spine.
Staring at Sollux's sleeping face with his shades in my hand gave me an idea; and a hell of a good idea at that.
(AN: so that is the end if Chapter 1! Hope you enjoyed it. Sorry it was so short. I'll try to update again soon! Until next time!
FanfictionI went to Sollux's hive to play video games with him. I'd loved the troll longer than I knew, and I doubted he felt the same for me. Maybe tonight would be the night.
