Finals week was drawing nearer and nearer at Heritage University. The students were cramming in on last minute studying, all nighters, and coffee, including junior, Luke Hemmings.

Luke was one of the most popular students at the school. He was on the soccer team, tall, blonde and blue eyed, and most of all, he was known for getting all the girls on campus.

He was your typical fuckboy; cocky, but, insanely attractive. Luke's ultimate goal was to get to every girl on campus to keep his ego, even if it meant taking drastic measures.

Even though it was about three in the afternoon, Luke was heading towards the small café, Quick and Easy Café, where he always went to get coffee at this time.

As he walked down the sidewalk towards the café, every person he passed would say hi to him. He flashed his infamous smile and even a few winks before he pulled the door of the café open.

The bells on the door jingled as Luke stepped into the quaint little shop. He sighed and glanced around, recognizing everyone. Except for one.

A girl sat in the back corner, a cup of coffee in one hand and her phone in the other, her earbuds in. Nobody was sitting with her, but her bookbag took up the other seat.

She has light brown hair and looked relatively small. Luke thought she looked alright from afar, so he decided to go ahead and see who she was after he ordered.

But, something about this unfamiliar girl intrigued Luke even more. As he made his way over to the counter to order, he kept his eyes on her, waiting for her to look up. But, she didn't, which frustrated him.

"Hey, Luke!" Cherri, the girl behind the counter, greeted one of her usual customers. When Luke didn't reply, she furrowed her eyebrows. "The usual, I'm assuming?"

"Yeah.. yeah," Luke waved her off with a frown.

"Somethin' wrong?" Cherri asked as she reached for a cup to begin making his order. "You're usually having an engaging conversation with me by now." She laughed halfheartedly, placing the cup on the coffee machine.

Luke tore his gaze off of the girl and turned towards Cherri, chuckling softly. "Sorry," he apologized. "Just.. who's that girl over there?" He nodded towards her.

"I dunno," Cherrie shrugged, patting her blonde curls. "Today was the first time I've seen her." She took Luke's cup and began pouring in sugar and cream, humming to herself.

"Me too. Strange, I usually would recognize everyone here," Luke commented, them turned back to the counter, taking out his wallet.

"Yeah, yeah, Mister Popular," Cherrie rolled her eyes playfully. She had known Luke since he was a freshman, and now that she was a senior, they were close friends, even if they did hookup a few times.

Cherrie handed Luke his coffee and moved to the register, tapping at some buttons. Luke simply handed her his card before even hearing  what the total was, since he always ordered the same drink every time.

"You ready for finals?" Cherrie asked as she handed back his card and coffee. Nobody else was in line, so she decided to catch up with her friend.

"Nope," Luke snorted, taking a sip of his coffee. "Haven't even started studying."

"Really?" Cherrie laughed. "You better get on that then, Hemmings."
