Chapter 1

Toby's POV

I remember last Wednesday all too well.

It's was my second show in Arizona. I wasn't expecting to much, but I was incredibly pumped for the show. This was our first time as a band on a circular stage, it was scorching hot outside, and we had all gotten Starbucks. Riley, Connor, and myself all got our usual. It was shaping up to be a great show. The only thing that i was not looking forward to was the bus party that followed the show. I usually like bus parties, but this one was very small, and was surely going to be awkward.

My brothers and I started to get ready for the show. We were the first act which gave us a lot of time to do nothing. Usually, we walk around the venue we are playing at but we have to be really secretive because fans might see us, and we have to stay in our bus. That night, we played our small set, and rushed into our bus.

After the show, we started leaving - or rather trying to leave- the venue. Tons of fans waited around to meet us, which is great because that meant that we were getting more and more fans, but we also had somewhere else to be. The bus party. I was dreading it so much that even Riley told me to stop complaining about it.

We pulled into the sketchy alley where we told our fans to meet us. They soon started to emerge into the bus, and I quickly hid in my bunk as I watched some fans walk by. I didn't see any of their faces, but I knew soon enough i would have to face them. Connor asked them their names and one by one they answered. I didn't really listen, but the one that I could remember the most was the last girl. She has a boy name. Ryann, I think it was.

Riley then pulled me out of my bunk and I met the fans. They all seemed really nice, and I have no problem with fans, it's just that sometimes fans can be really awkward. This group didn't seem to awkward.

I made eye contact with all of the fans, but my heart literally stopped when I saw her. Ryann. I have never seen anyone so beautiful and perfect. I didn't know what to do. Connor then said that we would go into the front of our bus and start playing some acoustic songs. I was incredibly lucky because Ryann sat right in front of me. The whole time we played our set, I couldn't stop looking at her.

After our acoustic set, we took pictures with the fans. I was incredibly nervous. It was crazy how nervous I was. A fan had never made me feel this way before. Nobody had ever made me feel this way before.

There she was.

She took her picture with us, and then handed us each letters. I was so ecstatic to recieve a gift from her. I acted like it didn't mean much to me, but in reality it meant the world to me. As soon as she left, I opened the letter. I was so happy i could barely stand it. Something told me that she felt the same way about me. At least, I hoped she did.

Ryann's POV

I was so excited for the bus party.

This was the only thing on my mind for the last month, and it was finally happening. I'm going to meet Before You Exit in a couple of minutes.

Their tour bus pulled up and I could feel my heart pounding. Me and my best friend, Emilie quickly exited my mom's car and we entered the bus. I hate saying that I have a favorite member, but I do. Toby. I just couldn't help it! he was so cute, and I was about to meet him.

Connor started off by asking us our names, and I was last. Soon after Riley appeared with Toby. I could literally hear my heart beating. I had waited so long to meet him.

They played an acoustic set, which was amazing. It might have just been me being super excited but, I could almost feel Toby looking at me. But I doubt that.

After, they took pictures with us, and Emilie and I couldn't contain our excitement. Emilie went first, and then I went. Then we gave the guys the letters we wrote for them. We were kind of embarrassed, but we did it anyways.

Soon, the bus party was over. I really wish it didn't have to end. As weird as it might sound, I genuinely think that Toby might want to talk to me as much as I want to talk to him.

But it's over now. We won't see them until they are back in Arizona, and who knows when that will be.

"Ryann, your phone is ringing." Emilie said.

My cellphone screen said "Unknown"

and then I remembered.

I put my number in Toby's letter.
