Most people knew that house wasn't the best place to stick around. They knew the place had a dark tone to it, and I was no different. As I looked at it from a few houses down the street, I could tell it still held loneliness and abandonment that was left of it's previous owner.
But that wasn't the case now, wasn't it? Because new owners had taken claim to it--and yet it still had no life to it.
"Whatever though," I laughed, shrugging my shoulders a bit before continuing; "It's not like I really care for the old place anyways..." With one glance at the house, I turn my head and keep walking on my original path.
I couldn't help but hum while skipping to the beat; trying to entertain myself as I made my boring journey to Anne's house. I went to grab my phone from out of my pocket to switch it onto my Vocaloid playlist, but I felt nothing.
Ah wait a minute, did I bring my phone..? Oh, crap I don't think I did....
Heh, you know what? I won't worry about that...
As I tried to clear my head of the consequences that could come out of me not bringing my phone, I wasn't even paying attention as I passed Anne's house. What snapped me back to reality was a hiss sound and a small 'Over here!'.
"...Anne..?" I questioned, turning around to see my friend hiding behind her fence in the bushes. She was dressed in a camouflage outfit, binoculars hanging from her neck, topped off with twigs and leaves in her hair. Honestly, if she had paint marks under her eyes, I'd probably die laughing. "Phfff, should I even ask..?"
"Shuuush!" She hissed again, pulling me down into the bushes with her. "Keep it down, they'll hear you!"
"I'm pretty sure they'll hear you more than they'll hear me." I chuckled quietly, before coughing and asking; "So who are we hiding from again?"
"The pretty boys." Was all Anne said before peek over the bush and fence at the house across the street. She then brought her binoculars to her face and let out a sigh. "Though I think it's too late for me..."
"What do you mean?" I questioned, laughing slightly as laying down on the grass and looked up so I face the clear skies.
"Well," Anne starts, out of the corner of my eye I see her look away from the house to glance at me. "Yesterday I saw this girl going inside their house...What's worst was that she looked some what pretty, so that kind of scratches off as being an unwanted visitor...I'm guessing that she was one of the guys' girlfriend. It's a bummer, but oh well, at least there are four of them."
I gave her a look, but turn my head away before commenting; "Well, I'm glad that you have the decency to not steal anyone else's boyfriend. Good going, I'm really proud."
