"'Yandere; A common term in the otaku fandom, popular in recent years, to describe for a certain type of person in an anime or manga. In Japanese, the word is a combination of two different words. Yanderu meaning to be sick, and Deredere meaning...Well, it has a lot of different meanings, but in this definition, it means 'love-struck'.
The word 'Yandere' literally means: 'Sick Love'."
"Huh," I mumbled, titling my head to the side. "A person who is sick...love..? What's that suppose to mean..." My finger scrolls to the character examples.
"Examples of Yandere characters are; Gasai Yuno(Mirai Nikki; Future Diaries), Toma(Amnesia), Ace(Heart no Kuni no Alice; Alice in the Country of Hearts), and'--Wait, Heart no Kuni no Alice Ace?" As if I was actually in an anime, it felt as if my heart got punctured by one of those d_mn invisible arrows. "He's considered a 'Yandere' character...?" I questioned softly, my eyebrows furrow together. "...Actually that kind of makes sense."
Out of the blue, a really annoying sound started to come from my phone.
"Nya, Nyaa, Nyaaaaaaaaaaa~" A high pitch voice sang, light music following it. Although, that didn't last long until the music all of a sudden changed to a darker tone and those 'nya' slowed down.
"ANSWER THE PHONE, GOD D_MMIT!...Nyaa~" Ah, Anne's calling.
"What's up?" I asked into the phone, putting it on speaker before continuing to search on the web.
"Dude.....Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!" Was the response I got from my friend, you could tell she was sort of hyperventilating with all the grasps of air she took before actually using words; "God, I need to exercise more...."
"Why do you think our PE teacher hates you?" I joke halfheartedly, letting out a small laugh when she grunted out as a reply. "So, why are you calling me so late at night? Need help with the math homework that was assigned before break?"
"Ugh, don't remind me! I still have to finish that..." She muttered the last part before coughing and changing subjects. "I'm calling because something weirdly amazing just happened!" She yelling into the phone, resulting me to push my phone away from me a bit.
"What? Did the Ouran Host Club show up in your room or something? Or was it hot vampires, like the ones from--"
"Let me stop you there, Kate." I could almost see Anne put her hand up in the air when she interrupted me. "Every time I say 'Something happened' those are always the first words to come out of your mouth....So what's always been my answer?"
I sighed, "'No matter how much you want those fictional character to be in reality, they aren't real.'" I repeated in a bland tone, then rolling my eyes before adding; "And those will be my questions until my life becomes one of those god d_mn fanfics! ...Or a otome game, really depends."
"..." There was a pause from my friend, then the sound of flesh hitting skin made it through the phone's speakers. "...Right...As I was saying before--"
