It was 9:30 pm and i had reached lexington high school. of course it was closed but i had agreed to meet the counselor for my packet, as i pulled up there was a woman wearing casual blue jeans and a dressy collard shirt. her curves made me look like i was older than her. she was too perfect to be a counselor and yet she was. i was so distrated in my thoughts i hadnt realized she was knocking on my window, we didnt say much she just handed me my packet and smiled. we agreed to make this quick so it didnt look like anything suspicious.

time passes and i decide to go get chinese takeout, because it was far too late to do any grocery shopping. as i pull into my parking lot the party seemed to still be going. There were a bunch of girls and guys my age standing on the porch with their red cups laughing. who was i to intrude a party that i was never invited to? i looked away and continued into my garage, parking my car. i closed my garage door and walked inside turning on some lamps.

i decided to watch the hulk, it was always my favorite movie. maybe because i will always admired how much she loved the man even when he clearly had anger problems. and the way he protected her under any circumstances kind of made me want to have a big green monster for a boyfriend too. just as the movie was getting good i heard a knock on my door, i shoved another bite of orange chicken in my mouth and i couldnt seem to stop looking at the t.v. as i walked to the door.

i swung the door open and two gorgeous boys were standing on my front porch.
"um hi, can i help you?" i didnt mean that to come out as bluntly as it did.

"yeah, tell me your name." the boy with the blonde hair and brown eyes demanded.
i looked further out the door wondering if this was some sort of prank.

"Im alexandra, you can just call me alex" i smiled.

"nah, ima call you lexie," the boy with the blonde quiff and blue eyes said to me. he couldnt seem to stop eyeing me up and down. it was kind of making me uncomfortable. "Im Easton, but you can call me daddy.." he laughed and hit his friend on the arm. they both started to laugh again as if this was some joke. i began closing my door but the boy with pretty brown eyes, held his hand on the hem of the doorway and spoke:

"you didnt ask me what my name was" i was beginning to get a bit frustrated and annoyed because they were being sadistic assholes.
"thats because i dont care to know" i retorted. slamming my door on their faces. i locked both the top and bottom lock and went to continue the movie. i could hear them scream my name outside and continuously bang loudly on my door. i had to drown them out with my movie. 2 hours went by and it stopped, i was able to turn my tv down and crawl upstairs to bed.

i was crazy tired considering it was 1:00 am. probably not wise since i have to be up in 5 hours for my orientation at school. id be the only one attending as a new student and since its the middle of the school year, everyone is going to be there. i was smart to plan it on a saturday, the school president brooklyn adams agreed to meet me and give me a tour. i got really lucky.

Saturday 6:15 am

i repeatedly hit snooze not realizing what i had to do today. i looked at my phone and my eyes widened, i had 45 mins to get half decent and make it on time. i brushed my hair out, and this morning is when it chooses to be frizzy. i turned on the water and wet my hands, running it straight through my hair. i then put my hair in a high bun, and quickly rubbed a stick of deodorant under each pit. i felt so gross with myself but the orientation was only going to be an hour long so i can easily come back and shower after. i shoved a tooth brush in my mouth not realizing i wasnt able to shop yesterday. i had no toothpaste, i put 2 pieces of winter fresh gum in my mouth. i guess living on your own can get difficult if you dont keep up. i thought to myself.
