Alexandra's POV

as time went on a few months later, Katy and Kaden are currently still a thing. Easton and Brooklyn are just as close as the day he asked her out, and i've been so caught up in work, i forgot what sleep was. i had been pushing my sister away as well as my mom because it was much easier than trying to actually tell them what was going on. i haven't really been able to eat, i lost a few pounds and i'm suffering a bit of depression. all for what? for kaden? i'm not sure but its definitely taking a toll on my life. work had become apart of me, Garret will actually text me and talk to me occasionally.

I checked my phone to see if he did, and he has. "Lex, you're an outstanding worker and im so thankful to have you in my company. although, you've been looking a bit down lately. i want you to take these two weeks off, paid. you've completed all the tasks that i've needed done before the month was over. you deserve this, enjoy yourself." i sighed and wined as i threw my face into my pillow. what was i to do now? that was the only thing i had going okay for me.

I took my time getting out of bed and walking down the stairs, to my kitchen. moments later, Brooklyn comes barging in. mind you, she has a key.

"hey, holy hell-" she said looking at me as if i wasn't the same person.

"that ugly?" i said with a small smirk on my face.

Brooklyn rolled her eyes and laughed a bit, it kind of warmed my heart. i missed her, but i didn't want to drag her down with all my problems.

"we're going out" she said giggling and clapping her hands together.

i looked at my phone once more and it was only 3pm. "what are you talking about, brooklyn?" i asked.

"we're going out! c'mon you have to its the biggest party of the year, we're sophomores going to be juniors and katy's throwing this huge party.." she said and i gave her the death look.

"let me finish!" brooklyn said with a soft tone. "it's supposed to be the party of the year! you can't not go..it's a masquerade it'll be so fun! no one will have to know who we are, plus it'll drive katy insane if you are there. you can't let her win." she looked at me with these promising eyes and it almost made me feel guilty for nothing.

"fine i'll go but i dont have anything for a masquerade" i said rolling my eyes, not really wanting to go but i know it'll make her happy. i only have to stay for a bit before she'll even recognize im gone.

"here, put this on.." brooklyn pulled out a bag from behind her back.

"oh so, you just knew i would say yes?" i mocked.

"well, this was plan b. if you said no to the puppy eyes..i knew you wouldn't say no to the dress." she smiled.

i took the dress out of her hands and went upstairs to try it on, brooklyn followed me and watched me change. it was very awkward for me, i had never had friends stare at me change but im guessing it was nothing new to her because she was helping me put it on. i watch the dress curve my body in the mirror, my breasts were cupped nicely making my figure stand out more than i ever noticed. i couldn't help but smile because for once i found something i like, me. the dress is red, slim and tight around the waist. it was very classy, but sexy for me. i turned to face Brooklyn and we both started screaming in excitement.
