On New Year's Eve Priscilla awakened in her new bed in her new house, and she was in heaven. She was glad that Janice was home since her husband was at work. When she brushed her teeth, she waddled her way to Janice's room, finding her niece at her desk with Penelope.
"Girl, don't you have a house of your own?" Priscilla asked her sister, causing both girls to look over at her.
Penelope just grinned, skipping over to her sister and rubbing her belly. "Hi, nephy," she greeted, cooing to her unborn nephew. "Why your mama wanna wake up being a bitch?"
Priscilla rolled her eyes. "Do you want to go shopping, Jan?" she asked.
"Oooh, where are we going?" Penelope asked, straightening up.
"Girl, if you don't get away from me. I'm talking to the young one."
"That's cool," Janice answered, eyes never leaving the computer. "Now?"
"I need to take a shower, take a walk, and eat. But after that."
"Okay."
Priscilla left the two alone and went to put on clothes to head for her walk. She didn't have the energy to run, but she still needed the walk. Afterwards, she took a shower, and she made herself breakfast.
By the time she was done, both Janice and Penelope were waiting for her. "So you're just determined to tag along?" Priscilla asked, grabbing her car keys.
Penelope just chuckled. "Fine, Priss. I'll go spend time with the sister who actually likes me today."
"Great. Tell that ho I said hi."
"Bye, mean ass."
Penelope got in her car and Priscilla and Janice got in her car. "Are we shopping for the baby?" Janice wondered.
"Nope. Scott did enough of that. Shopping for us."
That was fine by Janice, and she rode along in contentment. When they arrived at the mall, she found herself looking confusedly at Priscilla picking up clothes in her old sizes.
"Are you buying clothes for a friend, Aunt Priscilla?" she wondered.
"Yep. Her name is not pregnant Priscilla," Priscilla answered. "Shopping for regular clothes makes me feel better about myself."
"I see." Janice nodded, looking over the slacks in Priscilla's hands.
"What's it like to be pregnant?"
Priscilla looked up from the pants and at Janice before she looked back to the pants.
"You're not asking the right woman if you're looking for something all warm and fuzzy that makes it seem like I enjoy this experience," she informed her. "It feels like there is a little parasite in my body and I'm ready for him to be born so I can love him more after I have a drink."
Janice giggled, causing Priscilla to look up at her again before she laid the pants on her forearm to start looking at another pair.
"I'm not kidding. I'm going to be so happy when he's out of me. I don't like it. I try not to complain so Scott won't feel bad. But I can assure you, this will never happen again. I'm already looking for a doctor who will give me a tubal ligation so I can be sure this never happens. I only love Peter because he's already here to be loved. Some women enjoy being pregnant. I do not. I so look forward to holding this baby in my arms instead of my womb."
"Well, it's almost over," Janice encouraged.
"Thank God for that."
Peter began moving around, and Priscilla ignored this as she started towards blouses. "Oh, he can hear you, Aunt Priscilla," Janice joked. "I don't think he appreciates it."
