Chapter 1- First Encounter

As usual, no sun, and lots of rain. I was sitting on a recliner watching the game eating a bag of cheesy crisps.

" Aw come on ref! Bad call!" I spat out, I was currently alone screaming at the TV as if it knew I was yelling at it, I really get into these games. My door then rang, I looked down at my fingers covered in artificial powdered cheese and wiped my hands on the couch.

" IM COMING IM COMING" I jogged towards the door, mouth still full.

" What's up Mate!" Louis came in smiling, he was always in a good mood, unless you irritate him.. I won't go there.

" Just watching the game you want a drink? I have sausage wraps in the micro" he shook his head declining I shrugged my shoulders taking a sip from my tangy orange soda.

" Niall lad, one of Eleanor's friends from college is coming down to stay with her for a couple weeks because her home is being refurbished." I gave him a look signaling that I don't really care, but I'm going to listen anyway.

" your point?" I retraced my attention back towards the Telly.

" my point is she's good looking and a great gal, you two should hit it off sh-" I turned my head quickly wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.

" wait are you trying to set me up?" Louis nodded guilt in his blue eyes.

" Niall she's super sweet! I've met her tons of times, she's from California. She's super down to earth and just a go with the flow kind of girl, like you!" I sucked on my lower lip sighing very heavily.

" I don't know Louis you know I'm not much of a dater..." I leaned back on the marble counter of my kitchen contemplating, trying to imagine what she would look like and her voice.

" Just ONE date and if you're not interested I'll put her up with Harry! PLEASE?" I chuckled at his remark.

" why me? Why not ask Harry first he loves meeting new people"

Louis sighed, I could tell he was holding back a thought. The way he looked to the left slightly signified he was trying to think of a lie.

" Honestly, she asked if we could bring you." He mumbled a bit. I felt a sudden rush of confidence build into me. Louis rolled his eyes as I stood up straight and smirked to myself.

" so is that a yes?" Louis asked once more.

" yeah I'll go but if she throws herself on me and acts crazy, that's it no more." Louis nodded reassuring me that she's an awesome girl and nothing bad should come out of this date?

How could I be so naive.

I sat patiently waiting for my blind date to come, Louis and I, were waiting for the girls.

" I swear Louis if this doesn't end well-"

" Lad relax! Stop shaking your leg it's really annoying" he sighed sipping his drink. I stopped shaking my leg and scanned the room, we sat at an awkward angle so I was unable to see the door.

" Hello?" Louis answered his phone placing it on his left ear, for some reason my heart began pounding outside of my chest as he answered it.

" yes, we're sitting towards the ba- oh i see you love"

Louis smiled standing up, I turned around but I couldn't see this mystery girl. Until El got closer, she was behind El.

She was looking at the ground her long black hair covering her face, she sat across from me. As she passed by the smell of her perfume consumed me, it smelt sweet like candy and vanilla I smiled to myself. Finally she looked up from her full eyelashes smiling. She said nothing, just smiled and that was all it took to catch my attention.

Her smile.

" Hi I'am Andy, well Andrea, but call me Andy."

She stuck her small hand out I shook it, her hands were soft and smelled like coco butter... I know this because I smelled my hand. Judge me I don't care, she was beautiful. Louis was right.

" Niall, Niall Horan, but you can call me Niall"

I earned a small giggle and an eye roll from Lou.

" so shall we order?"

El chimed in Andy nodded examining the menu, as I examined her features. She had big brown eyes very simple yet so intriguing. Her smile shown no dimples, but it was beautiful, a big happy smile, a smile that I have never seen. She had very nice cheek bones too, I know this because Zayn always says how amazing his are, but HERS were better.

She looked up at me from her eyelashes, she furrowed her eyebrows. I played it off as if I had just looked up at her. She smirked and I blushed feeling dumb for starring so obviously.

" So Andy what are you studying?" Louis asked as he set his menu down,

" el says your a busy bee"

he added. Andy removed the long black straw from her full peachy lips and swallowed before speaking.

" Im studying film, journalism, photography and business, but the arts classes is kind of a combined thing, I don't really know how to explain.. They all tie in together."

" wow, how do you have time for all that?"

I asked closing my menu deciding I would go with a nice steak and some red potatoes.

" that would be like me asking you how do you have time to be on tour and sleep?" She raised a brow.

" I see your point." I nodded pursing my lips.

" When your doing something that you love you don't feel stressed and tired, you feel satisfied and happy." She took another sip from her ice tea.

the waitress finally came, she was a petite blonde who seemed a bit nervous.

Probably a fan.

" Hello I'm Brooke I'll be taking your orders" she spoke in a hushed tone. I almost asked her to repeat herself.

Once we ordered she hastily walked away.

" So Andy what made you decide to move all the way out here why not stay in California?" El tensed up beside me and Louis's attention was now towards me.

Did I say something wrong?

" I uh, well. I needed change I guess."

Her answer was vague and unsatisfying.

Change from what? Why did Lou and El tense up so much, why did Andy stutter?

I guess it wasn't table talk, because the rest of the night she was on edge.
