Jacqueline caressed Miranda in her arms, "Jason I don't want to give her up" she said. "I know," was all he could mutter before drooping back into the shell he had built around himself. The tiny child slept quietly in her mother's arms.
John stormed in, a tail of doctors followed. "Any news on the little emergency?" he snapped. Jason stood up, "her name is Miranda! She is none of your concern." snarled Jason. To everyone's surprise, John walked over to Jacqueline, removing the I.V. from her arm.
"We do not want another hybrid. Enough trouble is coming from the three we already have." John said, his business like attitude drove Jason to confusion. Jason nodded in confusion, but quickly pulled his wife from the bed. "Come on Jackie," he said, and the couple was gone.
