Part Three: Mind

I.  Cosmosis

you are the little blue pill

i swallow

diving into madness

you become my abyss

i am swimming in your chaos

drowning

in the torrid

tumult

the air undulates insanity

orbiting

in exhaled flame

like stars

your gravity compels me

colliding

into timeless space

we consume the light

II.  Undeclared

we are unresolved

a weighted branch

heavy and aching

in its own

pride

i am unrepentant

in my sins

as the unintended

wander

an untrodden place

the snow falls

silent

on the cedars

hiding our

transgressions

under

frost.

III.  Wild Things

The wild things

Are within us

A special breed

of savagery

Reserved

For lovers

In the dark

Spaces

Wind howls

Beneath the trees

Lost

In the pines

I am shredded

Through.

IV.  Secrets

billowed boughs hide her

transgressions

veiled

amongst the pines

in deep

array

knees grinding

blood

into the soft

ground

beneath falling

limbs she

creeps

crawls

hands to earth

the trees

exhale

her in rhythm

the rhyme of her

sin

echoes

like faint cries

on

a

distant

wind.

V.  Falling

your air is clear

tight

precise

i am a stranger here

wayfaring

the slipstream

dreaming your

rhythm

in the

breakdown

dawn.

VI.  Surfacing

a fallen air

winds

through the creek

swirls

in dark circles

over grey

we count shadows

one tick two

like passing cars

my face cupped in

your hands

sipping cold breath

like wine

VII.  Briar

Drinking dark like

wine

in a slow-drip

trip

slipping threadbare

walking low among

tall oaks

in the haze of

a dream

with the scream

rolling up my

lungs

catching

in my teeth

as a sigh
