Chapter 15

Apparently it was the victory of finding a new prince. A queen and king for their land. And eliminating the biggest evil spirit in the land. Apparently the amount the 'witch' , I'm going to call her, gave Alec, was too much, and his heart was too soft, and was easily corrupted with a dark spirit.

Rowan and I emerge from the prisons, hand in hand, as the other shake spirits do too

We are welcomed by a large crowd of creature like chimeras Äbädä's and Adar Llwch Gwin's. I spot Ksicie amongst the crowd, standing near Terri.

Was everything finally done and we could go back to living normally again?

"Good job princess and prince," Terri announces throughout the cheering crowd. I didn't think much of it. It wasn't anything like a large battle or whatever.

The large crowd slowly bows in a slight wave. Ksicie comes to join us.

A forest spirit comes forth with a crown, probably for Rowan.

I was deeply confused. I didn't even chose Rowan to be my king, I didn even know if we where dating or what, and they where crowning him.

Ksicie must've noticed my cluelessness, and replied quickly: 'it doesn't matter if you don't want Rowan. He is your other half. You guys where made for each other. That is how it works here in the kingdom of the lost. He must be crowned immediately or else your bond might be broken soon and we won't have a king to strengthen our kingdom'

'But what about all this ruckus, I mean, it wasn't a large battle or anything. Really. It wasn't. Just a few hits and that's all,' I say, watching as Rowan lets go of my hand and bows down so that the forest spirit may place the crown atop his head.

'If you didn't know, Alec was actually leading and planning on releasing the shadow lord from his prison after he was defeated by me and you. Alec was trying to reason with the shadow lord, not defeat him when he jumped in. He wanted to come to a compromise because the shadow lord could've helped him in defeating you. The only reason Rowan was with him was that Alec told Rowan they'd be looking for you. If they found you, Rowan would get part of the reward for finding you, to help his family. It's a long story. Don't ask how I know. I just do'

And that's how I earned a long lecture about why this battle on defeating Alec was so important. But I couldn't help feel that a part of me, a part of me that included my sibling, was torn away from me, leaving me gaping in confusion.

'What about Damian?' I ask finally.

'While you were gone, he met a girl and actually started dating her. Her name is Calu. Strange name I suppose. The reason I know all this is because there is this thing I can do when I'm sleeping, is that I leave my body in a soul and look around, calculating emotions and wild thoughts and dreams,'

"Long live Queen Alexa and King Rowan of the Lost!" A creature screeches and the crowd erupts in cheers.

Guess there is no choice but to live my life out here. Where I belong.
