4- Harana (Serenade)

"Okay bye _______!" My friends waved and left me there alone.

I sighed and sat on the bench. My friends are going to the mall today and I couldn't go cause my parents wouldn't let me.

You know how strict parents are

I fished out my phone and played a few games in it while waiting for my dad.

I felt someone sat beside me but I didn't bother to look who it is, I just
continued to play with my phone.

"Hey" the person, who is really familiar, beside me called. I didn't respond.

"Hey _______" I groaned and shift my head to that person, slightly annoyed.

"What?" I said

"Ano dli ka mo nagad?" Darren asked.

"None of your business" I spat, turning back to my phone not making any eye contact with him.

"Oh come on, don't tell me I did something wrong?" He asks innocently.

I bit my lip cause I don't wanna talk about it at all.

"Come on, ______" he begged as he slowly and shakily grabbed my hands.

I looked away cause I was blushing mad from his surprised action he did.

"Darren I-"

I heard a honk of a car as I looked up to see my dad already arrived. I directly grabbed my bag and went inside.

I didn't mind to say or wave a goodbye to Darren. I closed the door as my dad starts car.

"______, who was that?" My dad asked sounding suspicious.

"Um you mean the guy beside me earlier?"

"Yeah"

"Oh that's my classmate Darren Espanto, why?" I replied

"I saw you holding hands earlier..." He slowly says

My eyes widens in surprised "Y-You saw us..." I slowly trailed.

"Uh-huh"

I was expecting dad to start shouting because he can sometimes be strict.

"You probably like him!" My dad teased.

I looked at him confused "W-Wait you're not mad?" I asked still confused.

Dad chuckled "Why would I? My little girl is growing up starting to have an affection on someone" he commented.

"Wow I can't believed you noticed that now..." I say sarcastically.

"Yeah yeah but you still like him right?" My dad asked teasingly, wiggling his eyebrows.

"What?! No!!"

"Yeah right" my dad said as he stopped the car.

I went out of the car and head inside. I greeted my mom then head upstairs.

I went inside my room, throw my bag on the bed and I just collapsed on it.

Actually I kinda like him. Darren happened to be my childhood crush until now and I somehow couldn't confess to him.

Cause I'm afraid it will ruin our friendship. I mean we've been friends since our childhood days.

If you guys were wondering how come I wasn't happy or kilig it's because he loves someone else.

I actually never knew this girl but I considered her lucky. I heard rumors that Darren's gonna serenade her, tonight at her house.

Cause he wants to confess his feelings to her.
