Chapter 35

It was finally the end of 8th period and I was ready to go home. When I got outside Drake ran up beside me.

"Hey babe"

"Babe?" I asked

"Yeah" he said

"Ookay" I said a little unsure

"So? You still up for that date?" He asked

"Ah yeah but I kinda came to school with my car and..."

"Yeah no problem I mean maybe  I follow you home and then when your done getting ready we could go?" He asked

"Okay, but where are we going?" I asked

"We are going to see a movie" he said

"What movie?" I asked

"You'll find out when we get there" he said 

"Um alright"

I was starting to have second thoughts about this plan  I mean drake was a nice guy and all but I dot know maybe I should tell him I'm not interested before this goes anywhere.

"Hey Drake about this date thing..."

"Aye Drake where you goin man?"

I was interrupted by someone else and that someone was Adam. I watched as he made his way over to me and Drake causing my blood to boil just looking at him brings me rage and that made me rethink the whole plan maybe I'll go with it.

"Hey man" drake said as he did this whole man hug thing that guys do

"Me and James are about to go work out you coming or not?" Adam asked

"Nah man I can't" drake said scratching the back of his neck

"Why not" James asked

"Cause I was ah going to um..."

"Wait is that Kendall?" Adam asked walking towards me

"Yeah I was just talking to her" drake said

"So tell me was he talking about me telling you all the cool things about me?" Adam asked as he put one arm over my shoulder.

I gave Adam the same disgusted face I gave him in class this morning.

"No he wasn't" I said removing his arm and walking towards drake.

"Then what were you two talking about other than me?" He asked

"Adam can we talk about why he isn't coming to work out with us?" James asked

I was getting bored of all this bickering so I cut in.

"The reason why he's not going to be with you boys is because he asked me out to go see a movie and then to eat" I said smiling

"Oh" James said

"What?" Adam asked

We all looked at Adam who's fist were balled up tight and he was sending daggers at Drake. If looks could kill Drake would've already been gone.

"Well enjoy your date you two kids and use protection." James said as he started to drag Adam away.

As they both left I held onto Drakes Bicep and gave a wave to Adam and a smile.

"I'm not gonna hear the end of this" drake mumbled as he shook his head.

"Hey Drake why don't we just take your car we don't have to go to my house" I said looking up at him

"Really?" He asked

"Yeah after the date you can drop me off here and I'll get my car" I said rubbing his arm.

"Okay then let's go" he said as he held my hand and we walked to his car.

I smirked to myself knowing that I just struck a nerve with Adam.
