Apologies and Explanations

Ross POV

I went home and went straight into my room. I buried my face in the my pillow and... cried. I made a huge mistake. I didn't tell her the truth. I kept my face in my pillow for like 3 hours. I thought about what to say. I had a good plan in my mind. I took a shower, fixed my hair, put on my clothes, than ran. I ran straight to Katie. I ran all the way until I got to her front door. I knocked on her door. As soon as I did, I realized that it wouldn't turn out well, because her dad probably wouldn't let me in. So I quickly turned around and ran away from her front yard. I ran to her window. I knocked on it. She peeked out and saw me.

"Go away!" She yelled

"Katie, I made a huge mistake. I came to apologize and tell the truth."

She hesitated. "No."

"Please Katie. I want to apologize. Even if you don't forgive me, I want to tell the truth."

There was no respond.

"Katie, here is what a did. I didn't want you to want to come with us to my grandmas. I know it sounds stupid, but I wanted it to be a family thing, so I didn't tell you. I wanted to keep it a secret, because I didn't want you to get mad at me. So when I called you and I acted like a jerk and we broke up, I got mad, which mad me not want to tell you even more. Then when I got home, I used 3 days to try and figure out if I should tell you or not when I apologized. I chose not to and it didn't work. But earlier when I got home, I realized that I needed to tell you. I love you and I don't wanna keep secrets, lie, and do mean things like I did. I thought at first if I told you that I didn't want to come you would get mad at me. Then we called and you got mad. Then I apologized and didn't tell you and you got madder. Then I realized that it wasn't working and either way I shouldn't keep it from you. Katie I'm such an idiot and a jerk and what I did was beyond idiotic. Katie, I was being stupid and I promise that I won't ever do that again. I will tell you the truth about everything. I love you, Katie. I understand if you don't forgive me, but I want you to know that I am beyond sorry and love you with all my heart. Please give me another chance."

It was silent. I started walking away, until I heard the window opened up behind me. I turned around and I saw Katie was crying.

"Oh Katie." I said and was about to walk over to her and wipe her tears, but before I could do anything, she stood up and started getting out her window. When she got out she looked at me for half a second, than ran straight for me. She rapped her arms around me tight, then buried her face on my chest and started crying hard. I put my arms around her.

"Katie, I'm so sorry." I said tightening the hug.

"I missed you Ross." She said lifting her head of my chest.

We stared at each other.

"I missed you to. And I promise that I will never do anything like that again. Katie, I lov..." I said before getting cut off by a kiss that I missed so much.

We stayed in the kiss for about 5 minutes, until it ended and Katie said,

"I love you to, Ross. I forgive you. And I will always tell you the truth. We should never keep secrets and always tell each other everything."

"Ok. I promise."

"Me to."

We kissed again.

"Now we have to do something."

"What?"

"Talk to my parents."

"Oh no. Fine."

We crawled back through her window and we walked in the living room.

"Did he apologize?" Her dad asked.

"Yes sir and we are back together." Katie answered smiling.

"Good. Now Ross." He said looking at me.

"Yes sir?" I asked nervously.

"You have an amazing girl here. Don't lose her. And if you ever hurt her again, you will be sorry. Understand?" He said. 

"Yes sir. I won't ever hurt her again." I said holding her hand.

"Oh yay!" Her mom said getting up and giving us both a big hug at the same time.

"Ok, now Katie go get ready. I know yall want to go over to the Lynchs." She said kissing her forehead.

"Ok. Thanks mom. Be ready in a minute." Katie said turning around.

"Uh, I kinda ran here, so I'm going to go back to my house to get my car, so you don't have to walk."

"Uh ok." She said.

I left and ran to my house. I got my car and drove back. Katie and her parents were outside. I got out to say bye to her mom and dad.

"Bye Miss Pam." I said giving her a hug.

"Bye sweetie." She said.

"Bye Mister Pam. Thanks for giving me a chance." I said.

"Bye. Take care of her." He said shaking my hand.

We got in the car and left, holding hands the whole way to my house.
