Those people you see immersed in books and poems and drawings
The nerds
The outcasts
Or so you say
But they are the smart ones
The hurt ones
So confused and tormented by their reality
THIS reality
That they escape into ones formed by thoughts
Thoughts of others
Of themselves
Thoughts all stitched together with the idea being the cloth and the words the thread
They escape into realities where there ARE storybook endings for it IS a storybook
They have left us behind in this drab reality and have substituted it with false ones
Fake
But better
They found a way to escape and we know it
We know that they escaped this bleak reality
we hate them for it
For we have yet to figure out how
