typewriter wishing

I wish I could understand the reasoning behind every action carried out
it's wishful thinking I know but a thought nonetheless
I wish I could begin to paint ceilings with words and splash color into canvases using nothing but a few well placed out verbs picked carefully from my vocabulary
I wish my minds  tapping of internal keyboard would stop
stop trying to put words to every wonderful thing I see
because no one really needs to know how beautiful the orange leaves flow as the wind blows then gently down fluttering like butterfly wings and just as loud before connecting with the surface of a stream without a sound sending ripples in every direction
no one needs to know how the jet plane soared across the cloud streaked sky ripping holes into clouds that soundlessly protested to this preposterous perpetrator in their peaceful sky
but if I didn't feel the need to do that where would I be
id be as normal as the kid who sits next to me in geometry
and although I need to work on my rhyming scheme I couldn't possibly be as bad as the kid who stands next to me when I say the pledge every morning who I'm pretty sure has forgotten the words
so if a constant typing in my head is what it takes to one day understand the reasoning behind every action in the world
then I hope it never stops
and one day
you find me painting ceilings with the words and splashing words on canvases like color
