Pillow Talk

Most people agree that relationships are hard enough, so why would someone knowingly try to make things work with someone that doesn’t live close to them. To tell the truth, I hear that every day from family and friends. The all believe that I’m not being realistic when it comes to my current relationship and should find someone closer. It’s hard because they don’t see what she does to me. How just the sound of her voice sends chills down my spine or that a single message from her saying “Hello beautiful,” sends me to the moon and back. The only way that I can explain it is the heart wants what it wants. It’s not easy having a long distance relationship, but I need Charlie in my life is like I need to breathe. So if it means late night calls and texts at all hours to keep her, so be it.

*~*~*~*~*~*

When the phone rang at 1:34 am, I quickly picked it up.

“Hello?” My voice a little husky from just being woke up.

“Hey beautiful, how are you doing?” Charlie asked me.

I couldn’t help but blush and let out a giggle. “I’m great, now that you called gorgeous.”

“What did you do tonight?” She inquired, making small talk.

Holding the phone to my ear, “Just watching TV and waiting for you.” I confessed.

“Really, what are you watching?” She totally ignored the waiting for you remark.

I told her the Food Network, so she quickly turned on her TV to the same channel. We began talking about what was being made on the show making fun of the commercials along with just some everyday chit chat.

“So how was your day hunny?” I asked her.

“Sky baby, I’m beyond worn out.” She started telling me how her day went. “I had to be at an appointment by 8:45 am that was only to last an hour, but took three. They still haven’t made a decision on the damn case yet. I mean how long does it take for them to realize there is no chance in hell I’ll be going back to him. Oh, then mom needed some paper work she forgot, so I had to run that out to her. Once I was there she gave me a list of crap a needed to do at home. I don’t know how we go through so many damn clothes here. I think I did six loads of laundry. Then my brother stopped by and dropped off my nieces for me to watch. The jerk didn’t even ask me if I could. He just assumed that since I’m at home I had nothing better to do.  Let alone, I still have a pile of school work to do here.  I don’t know how I’m going to be ready for this test next week.”

“Wow baby, it does sound as if you had day from hell!" I sympathized with her.

"I know… right.” She said as she let out a low slow sigh.

I have to admit the sigh coming from between Charlie’s lips turned me on. I could tell she was in the mood to let of some steam. I just wondered how in the mood she was. To tell the truth I couldn’t shake the growing feeling of being completely turned on by such an erotic sound slipping from between her lips. Swallowing hard, I tried to shake it off my desire for her and instead turned to the supportive non-girlfriend she needed at the moment.

“You know I have faith in you Charlie, you’ll do just fine on your exam. You always do, because you’re completely amazing.  I have to admit that you’re the most determined woman I know. So if anyone can pull it off, it would be you, baby girl.” I told her, trying to give her the reassurance I knew she needed.

"Thanks doll. You always seem to say the right things to make me smile.”

Listing to Charlie let out a sweet seductive laugh, made me squeeze my thighs together to calm down the throbbing between my legs. I had to admit I had some tension I needed to release, but still after all this time with her, I still had a hard time asking for what I wanted when I wanted it. I always felt a little guilty demanding sex, even phone sex when she’s had such a rough day.

“So what are you thinking about?” I asked her to break the silence between us.

“Nothing really sweetness, just thinking it’s time for us to hit the sheets. I mean you do have work tomorrow don’t you?”
