*Chapter 1*

“Vanessa, hurry up and unpack your boxes so you can go back and study again!” Vanessa sighed.

“Yes father.” She responded. Vanessa always referred to her parents as mother and father, ALWAYS. Her parents are extremely strict; she wouldn’t dare disobey them, ever.

Vanessa would be considered a perfect person. She always got good grades, her skin wasn’t covered with any tattoos or piercings, and she was a shy quiet person so either way she never rolled with the wrong crowd.

Her father was slightly disappointed at his daughter because she dyed the underside of her light brown hair red. After many, many days of pleading, he gave in. Vanessa also got the tops of her ears pierced. She did it herself which was very painful, but totally worth it. Her father was yet to discover her pierced ears. She kept them hidden because she would be dead meat if he found out.

Vanessa’s household was unpacking into their new overly-sized mansion. To Vanessa this massive house wasn’t necessary. The mansion had 5 unused bedrooms and 6 empty bathrooms. But apparently to her parents this was their way of showing people that they are better than anyone and everyone.

The ultimate reason Vanessa had NO friends was because of her parents. Her parents were both world-wide and world-famous doctors. They always pressured Vanessa into following their footsteps. She knew she would never be a doctor and even if she was, she still wouldn’t live up to their expectations.

Vanessa had a different idea for an occupation. She always had this dream to be a well-known dancer. She had been taking dance lessons since she could walk. She was the most elegant dancer around. Since she just moved from New York City, she wanted to continue her talent to achieve her dream. Of course she never told her parents her dream because they would disown her.

Suddenly breaking Vanessa from her thoughts, she heard loud laughter coming from the street. Peeking out from her curtains and silently looking over her balcony, she saw a group of teenage boys. Just looking at them, you could tell it’s the bad kind of crowd. Covered in tattoos and piercings, the group was walking and laughing amongst themselves.

Vanessa didn’t know what, but something, something about the bad boy crowd intrigued her. She found herself staring at them until they reached the end of the street.

Then all of a sudden, one of the bad boys started walking slower. The others were too inversed in their own conversations to notice. She noticed the lone guy was a blond-haired boy. He had a green snapback on. ‘Does everyone in Ireland love green now?’ Vanessa thought. She was too busy scanning over his body to notice HE was staring right back at her. Moments after she looked up into his eyes, she froze and gasped. But she couldn’t turn away; she stared right into his mesmerizing deep blue eyes and felt at peace.

Vanessa suddenly snapped into reality and ran back into her room and closed the balcony doors. She scolded herself.

‘Damn it! Why can’t you be sneaky for once, you idiot!’

She hoped that she would never see that boy or his friends ever again…
