Chapter 22 ~ Superfruit

Scott's POV
It's Tuesday, time for a new superfruit video! We are just doing a Q&A, nothing too important. I just wish that Mitch would tell everyone what's been going on. I'm gonna tell everyone about my incident too, they deserve to know. Especially since we skipped a couple weeks of superfruit. I just finished lunch and Mitch actually ate something, only an apple. And he didn't puke it up! I'm very happy. We both set up the camera and sit on the couch. "You ready?" I ask him. He looks to me, smiles, then nods. I started the camera. "Hello! Welcome to superfruit, the best show on the Internet my name is happy." I start. Mitch chuckles and says," my name is sad and we are everyday feelings." In my head I start crying. So we start talking about why we didn't make any videos for the past couple of weeks. That's when I told them about my incident. And Mitch just said he was sick. Are you kidding me? But he doesn't wanna tell and I've got to respect that. Then we both tell everyone some good news. "We've got some very exciting news for y'all," I start. Mitch continues to say," Scott and I are.." We then burst out,"engaged!!" We start talking about it and going on and on. Eventually, we get to the questions. "First question. How do you feel about Scott's scruff?" I read from Twitter. Mitch quickly says, "I love it! One of my weekly obsessions!" I blushed. He then asks," what's your favorite thing to do on tour?" We both answered with singing in front of our fans, of course. We are cheesy that way. "Why is Mitch always wearing sweaters now? I've seen some pics recently, I'm kind of worried. Love you both!" I read. We both go wide eyed. Silence. He finally says,"I've just been really cold lately, no need to worry about me!" I put on a fake smile. He starts tearing up and then starts crying. I quickly go over to hug him. "Please cut this out of the video," Mitch tries to say. I just nod. He calms down and wipes away the tears. We continue as if nothing happened.
After 15 minutes of talking
"Goodbye!" We both sing. I stop the camera and Mitch puts his face in his hands. "Ok, we need to talk," I say. I really need to know the reason why he's doing this to himself. And.. How I've been lying about getting better...
Mitch's POV
"There's nothing to talk about," I say with a muffled voice. After a few minutes I look up to him and he is just staring at me. I crack under pressure. "It's because of Travis, okay?! Ever since I started dating him, he was nothing but a nightmare. He hit me, threatened me, ugh.. And now he's dead?! I feel like everything that has happened is my fault. And doing this is punishment enough. So don't try to tell me everything is ok because it's not!" I practically shout. He covers his mouth. I growl and storm into my room, locking the door. I heard him walk up. He sat down in front of the door, and I could hear him crying. Tears start streaming down my face, and it was a little loud. I didn't care though, I'm just going through a rough time. My life. I then start singing, stuttering through my tears. I slowly walk to my door and sit down.

I hear Scott sniffle.

His crying grows.

Scott vocalizes very softly.

We both harmonize together.
And I, am feeling so small
It was over my head, I know nothing at all

Scott stops singing.

I stop singing. But he continues.

I quickly open the door and we both hug each other. "Im so sorry I bring all this sadness upon you. I wish I would just die," I say. What the hell! Why did you say that!! He backs away and reaches for a blade in his pocket. "So do I," he says softly. No.
